Can I just say, "OMG!" This blanket is to die for. It's heavy to carry, but once you are under the cover, I find it to not be too heavy. I got the 20lb blanket in Dark Blue...it's amazing, not too warm for me; it's the only blanket I keep on me most times. I have put another blanket with it on extra cold nights as I don't sleep with the heater on. I suggest you get your own individual blanket, even if you are a couple. It's for your personal comfort. Some of the reviews are wrong. This IS a WASHABLE blanket. It says use a commercial washer; which makes sense. This puppy is HEAVY. It's a weighted blanket. It IS HEAVY.... expect it to be heavy. I have slept so well with this blanket. I sleep under the fleece side. I plan on getting another one to have on my couch. These are too heavy to lug from room to room. Would I recommend this? Yes...gift item....yes....be open, it's a weighted blanket. Oh did I mention that it is heavy. So don't complain that the weighted blanket is heavy. This is very warm. I read reviews so knew it would be exactly the width of his full size bed. I think if it were larger than that, the edges would hang over and add more weight to what is on your body. If you're older, this could hurt your body. So I get why the dimensions are to fit the actual width of the bed, rather than hang over like a sheet.This is very soft. Very warm. I have not tried washing it yet. He's been sleeping through the night and seems much more calm. He regularly used to wake up in the night and try running off the bed in a panic. He hasn't done that since the first night of having the blanket (it's been over a month now).

Poor quality. This isn't the stitches ripping, it's the fabric tearing away from the seam after being leaned on by a 175lb adult.Find something stronger.

So soft and cuddly... Perfect weight - I have a 40 lb and it makes me feel like I'm pinned under a truck! love this one so much.

I bought this for my boyfriend because he has trouble sleeping. It has made a big difference. He slept 13 hours straight the first night using it! It is super soft which was one of my requirements when shopping for a weighted blanket. I also love the color (Slate blue). I am planning to buy another one soon.

This blanket....AMAZING. Seriously. I love it so much I wanted to leave a review. Research says that you only leave reviews if you hate it, love it, or get an incentive. Well, I am in the love it category. I have trouble sleeping and just had a couple surgeries so my mom sent me this blanket. I believed it was all hype, but as soon as I opened the package I wanted to see how heavy it was. Well, next thing I know I am waking up four hours later. This has happened NUMEROUS times since. I tell my family the blanket has voodoo powers.It is the perfect size, perfect weight, not that hot, oh so soft, and now my favorite blanket. But, I will warn you to be prepared to sleep. I mean like really sleep! I have felt so rested and relaxed after about two years of sleeping issues. This blanket has changed everything. This is not a blanket you can just throw into the wash though. Take good care of it and it will last.As an aside, the weight also helps correct some posture issues. I have a tendency to roll my shoulders forward, but the weight will "reset" them every night and my shoulders/back do not hurt as much anymore. Thought that was an interesting unintentional perk!
