This was my first time using this product, as I am new to leather tooling, and I must say it did not disappoint!! The consistency was more liquid than gel, but the easy application (rub on, let sit, rub off excess) was simple and got the job done. I was looking for something to highlight the tooling as well as changing the color of the muted vegetable tanned leather I had used. This "Saddle Tan" color is as pictured, but with a beautiful reddish undertone that really brings out the best in the leather. Although I think the name is misleading (as it is more red, than tan), it was exactly what I was looking for! Great first experience on my first tooled pieces (belt buckle & folded bull)!

Same high quality I expect from Tandy products. A little goes a long way. Easy to manipulate to get different finishes. I seal with wax and have never had a problem.

I bought this just to see what it was like. I have used it as dye and as an antiquing gel. It worked great for both. It is about the same price as every where else but is a good deal if you have prime.

The dye works really well. The color is a beautiful burnt red, not to dark and not to orange. This is a gel and a little goes a long way. Also, make sure you have gloves, this product will stain your hands and anything else it touches.

This is one of the first I ordered! I’m personally not a fan of this color!

Use it for painting on "corpses" and making horror dolls with special effects. Works very well and easy to use.
