Excellent protection
I work at a zipline tour, and use my hands on ropes all day (pulling guests in). These work well and seem durable - time will show in that. My only complaint is they don't have great grip when new. I suspect this is because of whatever they used on the smooth leather to condition it. The split leather sections grip quite well. This grip issue wouldn't matter as much for rappeling, or even for belaying - we depend on a lot more grip strength at work than I would belaying.

Great product
Use these gloves for rope rescue operations on a fire department. They fit true to size (although the very first wear is a bit snug, they form perfectly to your hands). Great dexterity coupled with plenty of padding where rope plays through your hand.

Too thin
These gloves teared out after a 50+ meters rappel :)

I Love these Gloves!!
These gloves are awesome! I needed a new pair for a week long HART class. Very comfortable,, and long wearing. Lots of protection from moving rope and still have plenty of flexibility and tactile feel for tying knots,, working caribiners, pulleys,,, belay devices,,, etc,,,,. I would recommend these to any one needing a comfortable and durable pair of gloves for moving rope work.

Leather Doesn't Extend to the Fingers
It's possible that my technique is just a bit off, but I found these gloves to be less than perfect. Due to the thick leather not going all the way up to the fingers, I found that the friction of a long descent would cause my fingers to heat up and I would have to contort my grip to hold on to the rope.

Excessively thin, poor stitching. Avoid.
The pictures make these gloves look higher quality than they are, in fact the leather looks thicker in the pictures. Be aware that these gloves are literally golfing gloves with leather reinforced palms. The white leather that makes up the body of the glove is exactly like a golfing glove and just as thin. The reinforced leather on the palm is adequate but not really thick enough for extended use. Unfortunately, the stitching between the fingers popped open the first day that I used them on one canyon of just four rappels. I will try to mend the stitching where it popped and just use these until they are totally shredded but I can't imagine they will last more than one or two more outings. Avoid these gloves!

Kind of weird
The white gloves pictured have a second tan leather layer in the palm for strength. What it doesn't really show is that the tan leather isn't sewn to the fingers. It's kind of just an open flap which is weird. Also I measured my hand per their instructions but the gloves came out so small I could barely get them on or off until I sweated in them several times. The velcro wrist strap is definitely unnecessary if they're supposed to be this tight. Or their sizing chart is off, one of the two. Of course if I had got the next larger size the fingers would probably have been too long. I guess my advice is don't buy gloves on the internet.
