I got this for my husband for his birthday and he loves it says it works amazing he uses it on his catfish rod every weekend when he gets home from work

We have a bunch of rods and reels but none that are push-button. My child likes that action. This was perfect; we set it up on a repaired/ reclaimed rod and take it along canoeing and to the local pond. Nice color, looks grown up but good for small hands. Like it. Bought this one since it says it has metal gears and I figure it'll stand up to some use.

It's solid, it's heavy duty, and yes ...it has metal gears and roller bearings. Operates smoothly, it's the spin cast reel I would ever call a beast!

I bought this to replace the Ugly JR60 on my son's Ugly Stik Junior rod. Right out of the box the quality was evident.Pro: all metal body gives it a solid feel, almost no slop in the handle... I've already replaced the one nylon bushing inside with an SS ball bearing to improve the handle even further.Con: noticebly heavier reel, but this is offset a bit by the half inch (12mm) lower profile which keeps the CG closer to the rod. This also lowers the spool release button, better for small hands.Pro: dial drag on top - not prone to inadvertant adjustment like a star drag in a beginner's hands.Con: drag dial detent is a little stiff and difficult to adjust, but this is arguably a good thing - set it and leave it alone!Pro: 4.3:1 retrieve ratio, fairly high for a reel this small (JR60 is 3.2:1) better for lures and spinner baits.Con: more difficult to reel in your fish but the larger handle compensates with added leverage.Pro: beautiful finish, this reel looks great!Con: scratches are inevitable :(Pro: right or left hand retrieve - I've already switched it to the left side, less fumbling and more fishing!Con: spool release button is plastic with integral hinge pins, if these tiny pins break you are done fishing, I think I will order one or two extras and keep one in the tackle box. It's fairly easy to pop the rear cover off and replace the button with no tools.Pro: double ceramic line retrieve pins on the spool, the Ugly JR60 (with one pin) has trouble picking up the line on retrieve, this reel has no problem picking up slack line.Con: expensive reel over $70 CDN delivered to my door.Pro: you get what you pay for!Overall impression: I'm delighted with the quality, I would seriously consider one of these for an ultra light rig of my own. It is much better than any of the reels I've purchased recently. My son will see it on our next fishing expedition in a couple of days, I'm guessing he will like it.Recommendation: if you or a loved one enjoys fishing as much as my son does, the price is worth the enhanced experience provided by good gear like this. If you only plan on fishing a few times a year there are cheaper solutions that work, including other versions of the Zebco 33 micro. Even the Ugly JR60 that came with the rod combo I purchased for my son has served for nearly a year now and has caught a lot of fish, but he has earned an upgrade!Happy Fishing!

スピンキャストリールは「初心者向き」と言いますが、全くそんな事はないです。そう感じました。以下、本商品のレビューを書きます。はじめに良いところですが、・質感が良い・分解しやすいくらいですかね質感は良いです。触るとプラスチック感強めですが、値段相応だと思います。分解のしやすさも良いです。ややコツが要りますが、スピニングやベイトリールに比べるとかなり楽です。次に悪いところですが、・ラインのキャパが少ない・キャストしづらい・PEは絶対使えないの三つです。まず、ラインのキャパが少ないです。これはどこでもよく言われている事ですので、詳細は省きます。ただ、後述の欠点を考えるとかなり致命的な問題です。次に、構造上キャストするのに向いてません。ラインを挟み込んでホールドする機構なので、それを上回るパワーでキャストするとキャスト中にラインがズルズルと出てしまいます。まあ軽ーくひょいっと放り投げる感じでキャストするならいいんじゃないでしょうか。キャスト不可になるレベルではないのですが、使用感はかなり悪いです。そのせいで、スピニングやベイトリールとは違ったスピンキャストリール独自のコツが要ります。「初心者向け」と言いますが、こんなもんに慣れてしまったらむしろダメだと思います。めちゃくちゃ太いラインを巻けばホールド力が高まってスピニングリールのようにキャストできるようになるかもしれませんね(ただしラインキャパが少ないのでお勧めはしませんが)。そして、PEラインは使えません。これも色々な所で言われている事ですが、今回はあまり言われていないPEを使ってはいけない理由を書きます。一般的にはスプール上のラインが擦れる箇所との相性が悪く、すり減ってしまうと言われています。今回、いろいろ欠点が多くてダメダメだったので壊れても構わないかと思い、試しにPEを巻いた結果出てきた欠点を書きます。まず、構造上、スプールが上下に動くことが無いので、一か所にひたすらラインが巻かれていきます。そして、ある程度ラインが巻かれるとその「ラインの山」が崩れて激しいラインの食い込みが発生します。そのため、ラインの食い込みが激しいPEラインを使うと、ライントラブル頻発となります。こちらはあまり言及されているのを見たことが無いので今回参考程度に書かせていただきました。これは私の想像ですが、ここまで糸の食い込みが頻発すると、細いラインは使えないと思います。アジングなどのライトゲームも無理でしょうね。以上を踏まえると、本商品を含むスピンキャストリールの用途は・キャストする必要のない穴釣りや、ヘチ際を攻める釣り程度でしょうね。太いラインでないとキャストできない(しづらい)、しかしラインキャパは少ない。というあまりにも大きすぎる欠陥を抱えているリールです。正直、ここまで汎用性が無く、使い勝手も悪いリールがなぜ初心者向けとして知れ渡っているのかあまり意味が分かりません。初心者の方は素直にスピニングリールで始めた方が良いです。スピンキャストリールは釣り上級者の方用のおもちゃと考えた方が無難でしょう。

アンダースピンが好きで買いましたが、私が買った時は1万円もしなかった。機能の事を言えば1万円の価値は無い。せいぜい3千円前後。ラインは巻替えを薦めます。質が悪い。このリールを買う人はそういうリールなのだという事を確認して買う事を薦めます。
