This grinder is quite quiet compared to my previous one. It's a good shape to hold. The speed grinds through the nail quickly so the dog doesn't get chance to be upset by it. My dog has large, thick nails which are black so the light is useful to see the quick. It recharges quickly too.

These do a great job, but if your dog is nervous, like ours, the noise and vibration, although not excessive, may mean patience is required.Well balanced in the hand and easy to use. Good value for money.

I only received this grinder 2 days ago. It arrived with some charge in the battery but I charged it. It is lightweight but has sufficient weight to feel solid and well made. It is comfortable to hold and the on off slider switch slides easily but is firm enough to prevent accidently turning it on or off. The diamond grinding wheel does a good job where you visibly see the white dust as it grinds the dogs nails. I liked that you have a cover with appertures of 2 different sizes to accommodate different size dog's nails. The narrower apperture is designed for smaller dog's nails, but my Collie's nails could fit in there easily. The larger top apperture is for medium size dog's nails but again any size dog's nails would fit in either of the appertures, unless their nails are quite broad in size. I also liked that the cover can be taken off by twisting and lifting off which allows the whole area of the diamond grinding wheel to be used and especially useful if you do have a larger dog with broader diameter nails. Charging is really quick and I liked the 2 different colour charging indicator lights, red for charging, blue for fully charged. And the dust protection cover snaps over the grinding wheel and apperture cover securely where you hear it close with a snap. The shape of the casing where it goes in slightly in the middle feels very ergonomic. I have dexterity problems due to a neurological condition and holding the grinder felt very comfortable and nice to use. And I was able to slide the switch using my thumb, which again shows that a lot of thought was given to the overal design, comfort and performance. I could tell that the motor is powerful as there was no lagging or stopping of the grinding wheel shaft during use. For the price of this item you are getting an effective and efficient nail grinder.The low noise which is just a buzzing sound as the grinding is in operation was acceptable for my Collie. Most dogs generally do not like their paws and nails touched, unless they are used to it from a puppy, but my Collie allowed me to grind her front paw nails without too much aggitation from her. But I think it is a job that needs to be done in stages. But better and much less stressful for her and me in comparison to using nail cutters. This nail grinder is an excellent buy and I would recommend it. Give it a go.

When it works it's brilliant. 45kg dog that doesn't like the clippers this was a god send for him but it won't last long enough to complete all 4 paws and sometimes I can charge it fully and place in box then go to use it and it's dead. It takes to ease and convince away when it's not readily available.

So pleased I decided to try this electric file. My dog has black claws with a long quick that grow quickly too. I've always clipped my own dogs claws and never had a problem but never had a dog whose claws grow so quickly and was getting fed up of trying to keep them at a decent length using clippers. My dog is a sound sensitive border collie so I checked out the reviews and there was a VERY helpful video displaying the file in use. It really is low level noise so I decided to try it out and it's brilliant. Very quick, doesn't bother my dog at all and much easier than clippers to do a tidy job regularly.

Got this for the dog as he is really fidgety with clipping his nails and wouldn't sit still long enough for a hand file. Works really well, easy to use and is really quiet. Introduced it to the dog first so he would be too alarmed with it - he thought it was a toy and tried to eat it - so no worries there then. The fact it files down really quickly and pretty quietly is the best part as we can get them done quickly without fuss. He's not worried by it which really helps with the fidgetiness. Would definitely recommend.

This product is really good, very pleased with it. Suitable for both big and small dogs, and the light is really good for seeing their veins. The quality of this product is light but strong, it would definitely file down the thick nails. Really good value for the money and it's definitely safe for the dogs, doesn't hurt them at all.

LOVED this product so much that I went back and promptly purchased a 2nd one. We have an 8 month old Westie that had a phobia of getting his nails clipped with the tradition style clippers. We purchased this tiny grinder based on another Westie owners recommendation and it has improved the overall nail clipping experience (for both him and I) literally overnight. I went from HOPING to clip a single nail in a 30 min session, to grinding 8 nails in one 15 min session. It was amazing! The device is very quiet and our puppy isnt scared of the sound and doesn't try to attack it. Well worth the purchase and we are so grateful to have it.

We hebben deze slijpmachine gekocht voor onze ouwe hond. Omdat de hond van ons ouder wordt kan ze minder lange afstanden afleggen waardoor haar nagels minder slijten. Dit apparaatje is dus een handig dingetje om de nagels op een mooie lengte te houden. Ik zou dit voor een klein formaat hond gebruiken wij hebben zelf een Franse Bulldog.
