There is a full colour image of each card in the book. Included in the book is an abundance of detailed explanation and exploration of the different types of plants, animals, birds and insects in the cards. As well as the full background on all the animals, birds, plants and insects on each card there is detailed discussion of their origins, symbolism and meaning within the context of the deck and nature itself. The book also has a short introduction and a few suggestions for reading layouts.Reading through the book gives you amazing insight into information on hundreds of animals, plants, birds and insects and in itself is a great book on nature, but using this information with the cards really opens up a whole world of exploration and spiritual connection not normally obvious in the outer world.The colours of the cards are reminiscent of the light during different times of day and different weather conditions. You get muted yellows and oranges of late summer afternoons, shades of blue and cloudy greys of twilight and just before a storm, and the cool blues of a moonlit night.
