The Ostrich Beach Chair is a great chair for the money, I bought two for my girlfriend and myself primarily because of their weight limits (I weight about 240lb’s) and wanted something that would last more than 1-2 summers. These chairs fit the bill perfectly; they are nice and wide very comfortable and have the backpack straps that make walking to the beach much easier. They also sit nice and low to the ground (unlike the Tommy Bahamas chairs) something I personally was looking for in a beach chair.One note, we bought a red one and a blue one, the Red one showed up with some of the stitching coming off, at first I was going to just deal with it but after 2 uses both backpack straps broke off, I sent it back (Amazon Prime) and the replacement was perfect! I think from seeing some of the other reviews the red ones at times had some bad stitching done at the factory. Needless to say after our red one was replaced we are very happy with the chairs and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a nicer beach chair for their summers!

Easy to carry, so comfortable, it was made thinking about every need we have at the beach, it has a cup holder, is super comfortable, it has a hole for your head if you want to tan your back. It's the best purchase for a beach trip. They are a little big but totally worth it. Every time I go with friends they all ask me for the link to buy them cause they are like the ferraris of the beach chairs haha

I love the idea of this chair. The face hole to lay on your stomach, but the mechanism is cheaply made and breaks after one use. For $90 I hoped it would be made better and I'd be able to use it for longer than just once.

Editting to add, less than two months after I bought it, the strap to carry out over your back, broke. Disappointed, but it is what it is.I bought one of these about six or seven years ago, and it served its time. After a lot of research and reviews and trying my friends' chairs, I ended up buying the exact same chair again. No regrets. I love it, it is so comfortable and reliable!

When these chairs first arrived I was so excited. They really are comfortable and I love how I could go prone laying face down and be flat on the beach. The face cradle is comfortable and I was thrilled with how they reclined.But with just one use, the first strap broke on one chair. I thought maybe it was just poor stitching on the single chair and blew it off but then it happened on another chair and another. And then the arm rests themselves started slipping. At this point all four of the chairs are broken and I will need to replace them all. If sent replacements I would try them again because they really are comfortable. Otherwise I’m going to try Tommy Bahama/another brand for replacements.In the photos you can see where on one side, the canvas strap sometimes just pull right off and on the other side sometimes they break and then you have to tie them to the plastic as opposed to having them so non-. In the end of the fourth church there’s only one of the eighth straps left that works.One we just threw away because the arms were completely worthless — x2 we kept to lie flat but if you sit back, they fold down and won’t hold your weigh - and the. one of the x4 will still hold up you if you lean back on it and want to sit upright. :(Again, heavy chairs, comfie but the steps we received all malfunctioned or broke within weeks / months.

This is an awesome chair, perfect size, easy to fold & carry and looks great! There is an opening under the pillow for your face when lying on your stomach.

If you are long and tall both torso and legs this is a great chair. I love that there is no metal bar under your thighs just the fabric which is so much more comfortable. The only poor design is when you use the backpack straps to put it on your back the metal bar hits in a strange way but its totally doable as long as your not walking far from your car to the beach!

Really enjoyed this chair. I took it on a trip to the beach, and it came in really handy. I love to read at the beach and enjoyed being able to lay out on my stomach and still be able to read. However, I’m giving this chair three stars because one of the straps that makes the chair so easy to carry (was really useful to be able to wear it on my back down to the beach freeing up my hands to carry other things) broke, and the other strap is also beginning to show signs of wear. Once the strap broke the chair became a hassle to try and bring down to the beach. I really liked the the chair, but I guess the straps were just poor quality.

Very good beach chair, you can also use it as a beach bed, back up or face up. It is comfortable and seems sturdy, but haven't used it outside yet so we'll see about sturdiness after the summer holiday.

Although this chair was comfortable, the finishing of the stitching was poor. A strap came unstitched the first time I tried to put it on my shoulders and the nylon webbing frayed as it was not heat sealed. Similarly the stitching under the seat was not properly cast off and started to come unstitched after a few days use - it didn't last me the two weeks of my holiday and I spent an hour repairing it on the beach! I returned it as soon as I got home - brilliant service from Amazon. Also an aluminium frame would have been lighter than 5kg. Keep looking !

Good: While not whisper light, a sturdy 8 year boy had no problem lugging it around (backpack straps are a plus). my 50 inch waist found the chair width comfy, and the seat did not cut into my thighs. While the head pillow did need to be augmented with a beach towel it was much appreciated.Bad: After going through the reviews I could see that the arms were a weak point, but being the only adjustable beach chair I could get on short notice I figured I'd give it a shot regardless. First use out on the beach and sure enough a few hours in and the arms start to lose traction and slip. I should mention the chair was kept in a sunshade, temp topped out at 23 degrees C. While the chair hasn't fully collapsed and the internal hold points don't appear to be broken I anticipate it is only a matter of time, heat, and an unaware person putting some weight on the arms for them to fail. A robust adjustable arm would be worth an extra lb of weight and earn this product 5 stars.
