I have a 1985 Corvette. and the battery goes dead in these cars in 5 to six days. If you don't drive them So I bought me this Trickle. charger. It works perfect.

Got it in the mail this morning, hooked it up to test how many watts it would put out in a cloudy day. Its so well made I noticed the Instant i opened the Package, Great price I might mention for such a well made product. Had it set up and working in less than a minute, so easy to use and simple Instructions. I was putting out half the watts, around 5 of the 10 watts I will put out in full sun but Its so cloudy here today I had to test it to see what will do on a cloudy day. I have a jeep that I use for maybe 1 day a week on a short trip so it want even charge back full the amps removed just to start it up. THis thing is exactly what i needed for a long time now.

It will not charge a dead battery, it is not intended to. It simply keeps a good battery charged on vehicles that sit without use for a long time.The product itself is great, I bought 3 of them.What happened is, the first 2 I bought were delivered but at 2 different prices 🤔so I called Amazon and was told they can't help me. So I ordered 2 more at a discount for buying 2 and I returned the higher priced 1 still new in the box. Did not seem to me to be the most efficient way to handle it but, that is humans!The 2nd problem was that the delivery person left the package OUTSIDE instead of INSIDE the safety of a closed in screen porch 🙄. I live in a ground floor house with no steps but yet the package was left outside in plain view from the street and in any possible weather. They simply ignored my delivery instructions and all forms of common sense and respect. If I delivered, I would put things inside a porch whenever possible just for common sense and respect! I can't understand this way of thinking, can you 🤔???

For the price it works great. Winter 2024-2025 in Colorado on an outside storage RV, kept the 12v car battery charged without a problem.

UPDATE - 5/10/23 - I have had this connected to the less-than-one-year-old 800CCA AGM battery in my convertible for two months. It faces pretty much due West and gets plenty of afternoon / evening sun yet it will NOT charge the battery above 11.4V. There's no way to know if the panel is connected and providing a charge due to no status light, and you can't actually measure the output voltage or current without it having a charging load attached (which defeats the purpose of being able to tell if the panel is even working as you'll get voltage readings off of the battery). I've since been able to repair my Battery Tender 5W panel (discontinued model) and re-install it to bring the battery charge level up on the car.Within the listing, in multiple places (including product photos), it claims that this charger is waterproof. The box, however, literally says "Keep Dry" and shows a graphic of an umbrella protecting it from water (see photo).Also in the listing, and in the product instruction sheet in the box, it says that you have to remove the "protective film" before using it. There is not film installed on the charger anywhere.The device is a cheap piece of fiberglass with the solar cells mounted to it. The charge controller is on the back side with nothing incorporated into the design to help keep water, snow, etc. away from it. I'm not even going to waste my time trying to install it because it isn't worth the effort. I will buy a unit from BatteryTender brand as I know they are quality built and are actually weatherproof.
