Kosovo: A Short History

I have gifted it to a lot of friends who have asked me about the history if Kosovo and the region. They love it too.

If you are looking for a book that explains accurately the history of this region unbiasedly, then this is the book for you!! It has many cited sources and notes (well researched) and explains the past until 1997 before Kosovo broke off from Yugoslavia. It debunks many Serbian myths/lies about Kosovo without being Pro-albanian. Very enlightening.

Perfect book

I read this book [a borrowed copy] a few years ago. Not only did I thoroughly enjoy it but I also wanted a copy for my library. Of course, where did I finally find it - on Amazon! I see that the author, Noel Malcolm, has also written a book on Bosnia. It is next on my list.

If you want to know the history of Kosovo but not from the very beginning this is the book! He did a very good work and lots of research. Never trust the Serbian authors as they are very biased on this issue.

A book of great importance for those who wish to understand the young country of Kosova. Have read the book as soon as I discovered it and very often refer to it for my own research and writings. It is a well researched and well though of work. Highly recommend it!

A well written book on the subject. I learned more than I imagined. I will look for more books by the author.

A great writing that keeps the subject interesting. I read his history of Bosnia as well and was just as entertained while learning.

Its an absolutely brilliant work. The author is very well informed. Its a must have if you want to know more about Kosovo, the Albanians and the region itself! Glad I bought it!
