VEXOOM Tongue Drum for Kids – Preschool Activities – Steel Tongue Drum – Tongue Drum

I purchased this for my 18 month old niece. I wanted to check it out prior to gifting and was pleasantly surprised by the quality. Regrettably, I took no pictures but it looks just like the images advertised but more vibrant in color and shinier. It comes with a load of drumming tools including two different mallet sets & a bunch of finger drumming things, and a nice carrying bag. The drum isn't heavy but has enough weight to give it sturdiness and resiliency. Sound is great with a mellow resonance to it. My niece thought it was pretty cool and mastered the mallet action quickly. I recommend this to people of all ages, regardless of musical talent, for enjoyment. I saw my teenage son randomly bong bong bonging on it for a while, looking pretty zen. Music is good for you!I will add one small issue - it arrived in the original packaging (box only slightly larger than drum) with a shipping label on it. No additional packaging. Drum was fine, nonetheless.

I really like the quality of this and that it is in tune. Nice that it comes with two set of mallets. I also like the practice book. Great value for the money.

I have a larger tongue drum for myself, which my little kiddo is in love with. This is a different sound than mine, but it is good nonetheless! I am hiding it for a Christmas gift for him. It’s absolutely worth the price and exceeded my expectations.

Bought two for the littles, one green, one black (so they wouldn't fight). The green one has a speckled green paint job that looks like plastic, feels a bit waxy at first, but it's still metal. The black one has a powder-coated steel finish that is smooth with a softer, easier to grip surface texture. They prefer the black one. Either they will hammer away at both simultaneously or one child will play with something else while waiting for a turn with the black one. They sound the same; it just has a more pleasing texture.The little song book is fine print, so we typed it up in a larger font and laminated that.

Birthday boy loved it as did his big brother … parents not so much. LOL

i got this primarily for my kids to play with. to get them familiar with making music. i really like it because its small so it can easily be put away (almost anywhere). the pic attached shows it size compared to my hand (which takes an XL glove). its got rubber plug in the bottom you can take on/off to give it a bit more of a muted sound (it stays in while the kids play... least till they can learn moderation). it also come with extra numbering stickers, a little book of songs (only 2 of which ive heard of. the others, i reckon, are chinese songs). its got 2 set of mallets and finger picks (all of which are pictured).i am NOT a steel drum guy so i cant say how great of a price it is for what it is, but its cheaper, more portable, more easily stored, and more easy on the ears then a guitar or drum set.and it really IS soothing, which i never thought id say.

The media could not be loaded.  I've been looking to buy a steel tongue drum for a while. Finally, I ended up buying one from VEXOOM because they explained very well the product. I received it fast and with all accessories exactly how it was advertised. The drum came in a beautiful packaging with a very helpful manual instruction for beginners. It was really a help because I’ve never had any interaction before with any sort of percussion instruments. From the very first moment when I started playing it's been love at the first sight. It sounds super clean and the vibe is beautiful. It is so addictive, ever since I've been playing and trying to discover new ways of achieving joy and relaxation. I am posting a video as well with me playing a "song". It is just after 5 days of having it. It is such a beautiful experience to have a steel tongue drum. I really encourage you to have one. I heard him play and give it a good review and so I jumped on itttt! why only one instruction book for the two items?
