Part of the heart and soul of my Wild West Bushcraft kit.
I put together a special wild west bushcraft set (Morakniv classic, break open 20ga, .22LR revolver, length of rope, oiled canvas, 2 tent poies, couple enamelware pots, 5" cast iron skillet, oil lantern, wool poncho, sombrero, snare kit, sack of beans, coffee, salt pork - you get the idea) to challenge myself to use older style gear in the field. My goal in doing this being to do away with modern amenities, challenge myself, and get a better idea of what living in the bush back in the day was like. This knife is the heart and soul of that setup. It's a very handsome, stately, even classy looking knife. The sheath is far from fancy, but it works, and the aesthetic fits with the rest of my gear as it hangs comfortbaly from my belt.I know it's a cliche about cowboys getting their knives so sharp that they can shave their own arm hair off but this knife did that for me straight out of the box from Amazon - they are VERY sharp as Moraknivs tend to be. Be careful with these because I've already had mine take a little bite out of me because I wasn't showing it the adequate respect a razor-sharp knife blade should be given. When it comes to what many knife enthusiasts call "balance" or "heft", the Mora Classic has that and then some. This is a tool that just feels good in your hand.Hopefully you'll never be put in a position where you need to defend yourself with this weapon - but in the unlikely event that scenario happened, this knife would have your back until the danger has passed. All and all I'm really impressed with it. I like the sheath, I like the steel, I like the company (Morakniv rocks) - and the price is crazy reasonable for how much knife you're getting. Buy it!

Classic No. 3 Moraniv
A classic. This No. 3 is the longer blade of the two classic models.Arrived sharp and in great condition, even though they just put it in a padded mailer.

It looks good, feels good in the hand and is lightweight
I use this knife around the kitchen and as an all around cutter indoors and out.A little regular touch up on the carbon blade and it's a real slicer, quite sharp.Ascetically good looks and a great fit in my hand.Everyone needs one of these!

Mora’s are awesome.
Mora knives are just the best. And what’s more is they’re really affordable. They take and hold an edge very well and even with the high carbon steel they don’t rust as much as other carbon steel knives I’ve had. These knives are meant to be used, they’re practical and durable. For some reason people are obsessed with “batoning” with knives. Get a grip. Knives weren’t invented to be axes and splitting wedges. Use the proper tools. And besides that, there’s almost nothing in woodsman activity that requires it. These knives are not wedges for splitting firewood. If you want a knife to use in nature, camping, hunting, hiking, fishing, foraging, a mora knife is great. European craftsmanship and quality.

Super knife!!
The blade holds an edge very well and easily sharpened. It is carbon steel so keep it oiled or spray paint which also keeps the rust away.
