inexpensive external drive housing that works well
This drive housing works well, easy to assemble, easy to use. Good value for a low price.The first housing I received had a problem. Sellers support responded promptly and sent a new housing, which works great. One note: shipping takes several weeks. Not a problem for me, but would be if you need this quickly.

Smooth Transition
I removed the disc drive from my old laptop and inserted it right into the external holder. Easy to do, operates like new. Three different front plates came with the unit just choose the right one for your disc drive.

Exactly as described!
Works perfectly! Exactly as described. I turned a DVD-RW I removed from a laptop into a desk under mount DVD drive. It was fast, easy and the drive was plug and play with a USB cord. Only complaint is I wish the USB cord given was a little longer, but that's a very small gripe.

Exactly as Described and Ordered
This optical drive enclosure is exactly as described. It arrived well packaged and without any shipping damage. It was easy to assemble (two drive bezels were provided, one non blu-ray and one with blu-ray markings, and is easy to use. The USB 3.0 interface is a great upgrade from earlier like products, which featured only a USB 2.0 interface. When ordering, please take note of the size of the case (in mm); be sure to order the correct size case to fit your optical drive. Also, note that the USB cable for this case is very short as it fits flush into the bottom. It's long enough to use for a laptop, but if you want to use it for a desktop (as I did), you'll have to buy a USB 3.0 extender cable. My only nit: the case did NOT work with a 6 ft. USB 3.0 (known good) extender cable, but DID work with a 1.5 and 3 foot USB 3.0 extender cable. Go figure!

Just what I needed!
My new laptop, as most come these days to my dismay, has no optical drive. I took my BD-ROM/DVD burner out of my 12 year old laptop and installed it in this case. Works very well with Windows 11 Home and exactly as expected. Along with CyberLink's PowerDVD 22 (or VLC Media Player), I'm back to being able to watch all my BlueRay's and DVD's
