Totally different storyline
This book was about a different type of law enforcement verses the sex trafficking trade. I enjoyed the storyline and look forward to book 12.

Well written and very different problems for Wolf. This one has many surprises. As always descriptions very vivid. Almost feel chilled by rainy weather in Seattle. Enjoy

Give David A Break
I thought this time, David would have his happy ending. I realized Carson wasn't going to let that happen.Give the guy a break and let him have his happy ending, he deserves it.

Disjointed
Webster defines “disjointed”, in part , as, “ being thrown out of orderly function; lacking coherence or orderly sequence”.This book, in my opinion, was disjointed. After finishing the book, I frankly debated whether to write a review of “Rain”. But, considering that Amazon likes reviews, and, the author states, “If you’d be so kind as to leave an honest few words...”, never mind my obligation to myself as a reviewer, I decided to write this review. What I must say at the outset is that after having read the first five chapters, I struggled with whether I wanted to read on or shut down the read at that point. Those first five chapters were so disjointed that I honestly couldn’t decide whether to proceed. I read on solely due to my great respect for this author with whom I have corresponded from time to time, plus my having read the previous ten books in the series.Typically, I like to critique a read on the basis of plot, character development, and general organization of the story line. The latter is important to me because I don’t read a book in one sitting. I will intentionally put it down from time to time to see if I can recall what is going on when I come back to it That is, do I need to reread pages to refresh my memory or not? I do not intend to be a name dropper, but there are writers out there whose plot lines are so tightly constructed that I know immediately what is going on from where I left off so I can pick up the story line without rereading pages. That largely defines organization to me. The story line stayed with me.Not only did the organization of the story line in this book not stay with me when I left it, but there were times when I could not determine from the story line which character was talking during the course of the conversation while I was actively reading. For example, I would have liked to have the name of the speaker used rather than simply referring to the speaker by using a pronoun. That was particularly irksome in those scenes when there were multiple characters speaking.Despite some confusion in some instances with how characters got from one scene to another, I was able to follow the story from “30,000 feet” for the most part. I don’t re tell story lines in my reviews but must admit I was at loss at times to understand what was going on.As I say, I like this author’s style of writing and have reported as such from all my prior reads. The David Wolf series is definitely a keeper series for me. I look forward to book twelve.

Nice to have a different setting
I always enjoy a David Wolf story. This one was a little far- fetched and, in the end, !disappointing, but you never know what can happen in the next book! I do like this series.

Jeff Carson's type of writing is especially appealing to me. His main character remains the same in all of his books that I have read - ten or eleven - but the settings are all varied and lead one to experience another great story. There are enough close calls for Wolf and lots of action so the book doesn't drag or become dull in any spots.

Fantastic...A Must Read!!!!
Another fantastic David Wolf adventure. Jeff has the ability to deliver suspense, action and compassion in just the right amounts. As with all the Wolf series it is well paced and the main characters get stronger in every book. I read this book in one sitting ...totally gripped by it from the beginning. Not only is Wolf a admirable detective he is a true and reliable friend and realises the need of others and puts his own life in jeopardy to help them and seek justice. This book has plenty to keep you entertained with rival gangs, corrupt FBI agents and a romance that resembles a roller coaster ride. If you have never read a Wolf novel you should start now...I guarantee you wont be disappointed. Well done Jeff....now awaiting book 12.

Hard to put down
Good plots but somethings suffer from the American syndrome of overkill ie over egg the drama.
