We took this to the beach and it was awesome! Very easy to set up and held up to the wind easily. We fit four adults with chairs under it comfortably, two were lower loungers and two were more traditional camping chairs. The only problem we had setting it up was when the cord slipped out of one of the sand bags. We used a reusable plastic straw to rethread it and it was fine, but I HIGHLY suggest putting one in the bag for emergencies because without the straw it was absolutely impossible to rethread and the whole tent is useless without those sandbags.Hints for setup: 1. Lay it flat when you want it. 2. Pull the cords out very tight (it’s easiest with two people, one on each opposite corner). 3. Where you end up while pulling the corners tight, Dig a hole in the sand and use what you did up to fill the sand bags. 4. Put the sand bags in the holes and bury them5. Put the poles on two corners angled away from the sun for best coverage. We started with the poles on the front two corners but later decided to move them to the sides for more shade. Done! I’m very fair and didn’t get burnt at all while under this. We plan on buying a second one to make it easier to sit under. I think it would be pretty easy to set this up in a park if you used plastic tent steaks instead of the sand bags. We tested it in our backyard with the metal steaks included (which are supposed to be for the poles) and it worked just fine!

I was super excited about the product but when it came time to use it, I was less excited. There are no directions (I read other reviews and apparently this was not a one off). It was difficult to get it set up. It fell down repeatedly and finally it took three of us to get it together. It’s good quality and a decent product but I highly recommend if you order it, try and figure out how to set it up before you’re on a beach somewhere.

Well, unfortunately I have to agree with the reviews stating it was a disaster and will be returning. As a single Mom I needed something light for me to carry and setup alone at beach with the 5 yr old (she burns easily with fair skin). I could not get it to stay up and the line that is feed threw one of the sandbags came out while I was try to get the shade to stay up. Now cat get line back threw the bag.I really had high hopes for this shade as I need something for my girl to be covered while letting the wind not take it flying away like umbrellas.

Great quality, well made, good sun protection, easy to assemble, light weight and fits in a regular luggage so you can take it on all vacations.

Love it. Works great, light weight. Took to the beach and used the bags full of sand. Stacked it in the yard.

Perfect beach tent!

The worst pile of garbage ever created. Doesn’t stand up for more than two seconds if there’s even a hint of breeze. I’m pretty sure one time I exhaled after getting one leg standing and it blew it over.
