The unisex "Heatha" heated vest is great for keeping warm in the coldest of temperatures. The sizes are unisex so if a man is a small normally he should buy the next size up. The vest fits comfortable under jackets of over jackets keeps the core of you body warm when its cold. 2 rechargeable Lithium-ion batteries keep the jacket heated. There is a automatic temperature control within the vest, the temperature keeps in between 108 degrees F +/- 4 degrees F and 93-degrees F +/- 4 degrees F when it is on. The vest has a temperature regulator on it so if the vest gets to hot the heat will be cut off. The heat cuts off at 108 degrees. The vest also comes with a battery charger.

No heat!
I agree with Lawrence Lynn. I wore this vest outside, under a winter coat, and could barely feel any heat. These vests are heated by electrical resistance. This always uses a lot of power (think electric stove) and the two, tiny 3.7 V batteries that come with the vest are just not enough. The vendor is letting me return the vest (which I will).

not the same product as advertised
They recommend one size larger but in reality you need one size smaller If you're a man Because this is not unisex is strictly female And the batteries are not 7.4 the 3.2 so it's a cheap version Which explains the lack of heat

cautionary note
Bought the small for my wife. She's 5'3" and slim. The vest was too big for her. There should be a "petite".

Great way to keep thermostat low!
With the high price of heating oil this winter I have been trying to keep my thermostat at 60 degrees. I found dressing in layers and/or wearing a fleece sweatshirt too bulky.I Googled for heated vests just as a lark. I knew they made heated gloves and socks for skiing but had never heard of vests. In all honesty, I had been thinking they would make a great invention and I'd soon be rich ... oh well! : (Instead I came across this vest. I received it just the other day and this is my first wearing. I love it! It is thin and lightweight and though the temp in the house is 60, I am nice and warm! (Thus alot less tempted to boost the thermostat.)I can't comment on other reviewers statements that it didn't work outside, because frankly that use was never my intent. For inside use it is terrific! An adjustable thermostat would be nice, but for inside at least, I find the temp to be great ... maybe even a bit on the 'too warm' side!
