I was expecting something that resembled wood, but this looks like a study plastic; thankfully it doesn't look cheap and nasty.The colour is a dark grey that would fit into a blue or grey themed kitchen. It sounds like a study plastic when pinged with fingers. The exterior has the appearance of being ridged slightly, so no worries about dust or grease collecting; the interior is smooth and easy to wipe out.It is currently holding 14 wooden spoons and spatulas and could easily go up to 25 items. It is sturdy and stable; it doesn't fall over with slight knocks.I am extremely pleased with this item and it has fitted into my kitchen and lodger shared environment well.

This is a really smart utensil pot. It's a good size, sturdy and of good quality. Another reviewer commented that it looked plastic but I disagree. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Falls over
Nice product except it is light with a light base so when i put my large kitchen cooking utensils in it falls over.

The utensils holder is smart looking. Don't be deceived by its slim outline, it holds a lot of kitchen utensils and does not tip over. Great.

I wanted a utensil holder that wouldn't break. This one is very sturdy and it is elegant as well. Although it is fairly light weight, it does not tip at all.
