it does take a couple of attempts the first time or two you use it so you dont accidentally extinguish it when you finish, but once you get the hang of it its easy. and really i'm the only one who had to practice, probably because my hands shake.but these are so cool, so much safer, especially around kids. i love the contrast between the old kind running out of fuel at the wrong mo,memnt and being able to plug it in so that never happens.

Fantastic was a great stocking stuffer as it’s nice and thin too and easy to use, works like a charm to light candles! I can’t wait till there’s a birthday cake and we have all these candles and I don’t have to almost burn myself or have 1/2 somewhat melted before getting them all lit...It’s gonna be great! I’ll never be without matches if it stays charged -that’s my only fear I wish it had a visual aide that allowed me to see how much charge was on it so that if the lights go out and I need candles lit I’m ready and not have a dead electric lighter! Might need to keep one book of matches jic! I didn’t give any stars on safety as I don’t know what it is they have on it for that and that’s not saying it’s not there I used it after it was opened as a gift & I didn’t see package.

I prefer using lighters like these for candles over matches and these do the job. The length makes them handy for reaching into deeper candles, and they are easy to use. I like that they are rechargeable. The only issue I have with these is that the posts are a little close together so it makes it hard for me to get the candle wick in the arc without touching one of the posts. It sometimes takes me several tries to get the candle lit because of this. However, these were somewhat of a budget choice so I’m willing to deal with this minor inconvenience for the price I paid.

Update as a two pack only one would hold a charge. The blue one worked great until I lost it. Move to the next one and it holds enough charge for about 20 uses before needing a recharge. Dropping a star for this issue. Otherwise This is such a handy little tool. So easy to light candles With it. The battery life was pretty good on one not the other and you get a warning that the battery is going down rather than it just stop working. That’s a nice feature.

Great value! Bought and put into both of my college kids Christmas stockings last year and they still have it this year , they loved it so much they wanted to know where I got it so they could get it for their friends.

So, I absolutely love these lighters. However, there is something you should probably know. I am over 40 and have normal over 40 hearing. My children and my dogs can hear frequencies that people naturally can no longer hear as they age. I light candles all the time with these lighters and every time I do, the dogs leave the room and my children (even out of the room) cringe and bear through my lighting. Apparently, these lighters are noisy. If you are over 40, it won't really matter to you. You won't be able to hear it anyway. But, if you have children or dogs, just know....this may hurt their ears.

These work great for this hard to reach wicks on a candle. Rather than having to throw the candle away…. This has kept them burning!!! Definitely would recommend!

Does lighting of candles, stoves and the like but the one thing that is weird is that when lighting there must be a sound that comes from the lighter. Dogs run, kids scream in pain. I’m old and I don’t hear it (child of rock & roll).Wife won’t let me use it anymore.
