This is a down to earth, very useful book, based on Marshall Rosenbergs method, Non Violent Communicationl I make tings more explisit and usable in working life. In many ways this is all you need to lerant the teqnique and way of thinking. You find a very good summary at the end of the book. Bur warning: It takes a life time to be good a the practice, since you will have to fight your own nature to avoid the pitfalls of interpretation, evaluation and blame games, mixing strategies with your real needs, and demanding instead of requesting. Very education!

This is worst book out of 10 I have bought on communication in the work place, it assumes you have studied and believe in what they call Non Violent Communication (NVC). It is all squishy mushy useless ranting with unrealistic armature examples of real work place communications. I threw it away and moved on to a book called Crucial Conversations which is a great read. Sorry Ike, I realize you put a lot of time and study into this field of NVC, but from a high level working professional this is junk.

I really liked this book because it gave specific situations that could be translated into other situations. The words are there to guide in using the information in the book. I got a lot out of this little gem.

Heartfelt support about how to take compassionate communication into the real world. I also liked the honest reflection on the non-guarantee of success.
