Good value for the money. They look great and sturdy. Beware, they are sharper than other shuckers for both the tips and edges.

Great to use for first timers. Sturdy and did a great job. Gloves were a great addition. They look super stylish too.

The knives are good quality and look to be strong enough for the tough job of opening oysters. I am not convinced the gloves would offer adequate protection in the event of the knife slipping. A typical oyster knife wound is a stabbing injury rather than a slashing wound. I put on the gloves and gently pushed the tip of the knife into the palm of my hand. It took very little pressure to become painful as the tip parted the fibres of the glove. A sudden slip of the knife could end badly so don’t be lulled into a false sense of security. I’m going to buy the chainmail gloves for full protection.

I turned up with the two sheathed oyster knives and was immediately the star of the show, one of my colleagues borrowed the other knife and between us we opened 1000 oysters without a problem, the knives performed perfectly, after 4 hours we cleaned and sheathed them till the next time, they were perfect.

I found this knife so easy and sturdy to use. The gloves give great protection and the knife shield is a very good safety feature.

This set is fantastic. Everything is very well made and the company then sent me a detailed email explaining how to clean and look after the set. My husband would definitely cut himself badly over Christmas if I has not bought this set. The gloves really do work!

A really good pair of oyster knives. I have bought other ones before and they have broken after a short while but these feel very sturdy and I don't expect them to break for quite some time.The osyters pop open much easier as well.....in fact.....I'm going to do some now!
