At first, I liked this lock. It did it's job. Easy setup. Lightweight. I biked to work and used this lock. After my shift, bike gone. The lock was still there though. Inside, the wire looks like it came from the dollar store. Then someone had a great idea to put a tube around it and attached the combination lock from your 10-year-old's diary, then painted it different colors to appeal to the buyer's eye. Honestly, a gardening shear could tear this security slinky apart.Bottom line, lock is great around the house if you don't want your kids getting into your secret magazine collection but take my loss as a lesson like I did and invest in a better lock.

I love my locks! I have two now! They are so easy to set the combination, and the soft plastic cover on the outside does not scratch my expensive bikes. Thanks!

Great lock. Easy to use. Strong, and long enough to fit around the bike and a gate.

This lock is fantastic for my purpose and so the five star review is because it is a very simple, easy to carry lock that I can use on my bike when I run into a store for a few minutes this lock is fine. It's cheap and it provides enough deterrent for a couple minutes to run into a store, pick up a delivery, etc.I would never leave my ebike locked with thing in a place where I can't see it for any more than a few minutes. Any decent bike thief is going to cut this thing is less than about 10 seconds.For extended lock ups when I can't see the bike or for a long period of time, I use a big heavy and pricey ONGUARD chain lock. But that lock is large and very heavy. So as mentioned already, this is a great quickie lock because that's about as long as I'd leave it with this lock. Long enough for a quickie, whatever that means to you.

My eight-year-old got a new bike for his birthday. His bike is orange and black. He was really excited that I found this orange lock for him and that it was really easy for him to do. I love that it clips onto the bike. I missed that detail when ordering. But it has a special attachment so it easy clips onto your bike and your child doesn’t have to try to wrap it around and keep it away from their feet and they are pedaling. Love this product! Will purchase again next time we need a lock for anything in our family.

This unit seems fine. I'm no lock expert so couldn't tell you what components to really look at, but the unit was easy to set the combo and everything works smoothly. It includes a clip to attach to your seat tube but I didn't bother with it because the cable is short enough to just wrap around under my seat without it being in the way. That said, glad I went with the 4ft length. I usually keep my bike in a garage but wanted this to park on the street for quick errands around town (Denver) and such. You'd probably want a u-lock type if you intend to keep your rig on the streets all the time, but you also probably know this already.One gripe was the product had a strong plastic off-gassing that was noticeable for a couple weeks (still kind of smell it if it's closer to my face). Since it's for outdoor use I'm not too worried about it, but it's a strong and persistent enough odor I wouldn't feel comfortable using or storing this in my home for any length of time.

My 10-year-old previously had a bike that she got for free, so I didn't worry about it when she rode it to school and left it unlocked on the bike rack all day. When she got a nicer, more expensive bike, I decided she needed a lock. Obviously, her school's bike rack is pretty safe (otherwise her freebie bike would've been stolen years ago!), so she doesn't need anything super-strong, just something that will discourage someone from walking past and quickly grabbing the bike.This lock fits the bill perfectly. She loves the purple color, she loves that she got to pick the combination, it includes a mount so she can easily carry it on her bike, and the price was right! I wouldn't trust it to leave a bike locked up overnight in New York City or anything like that, but it's a perfect deterrent for lower-crime areas.I'm back now to order a blue one for my son's bike, and one for my bike too, because my own (much more expensive) cable lock is sometimes a pain to open.
