Good price for sturdier remote
I have the Insignia Fire TV and have already blown throw 3 remotes in a year and a half. The remotes that come with the TV feel cheap and break as soon as they are dropped. I got this one today for a fraction of the cost of the name brand remotes and I am already impressed. It feels sturdy. The battery case is much more secure. It connected to my tv immediately and with no issues. I have never needed or wanted the voice control so this remote is definitely a good fit. And I am so happy with the price. Even if it breaks in. A few months..... well the toshiba remote would as well anyway, so I would not be out any extra money. I will have still saved. :)

The buttons quit working, SO FRUSTRATING!!!
Seriously, DON'T DO IT!!! The buttons work *maybe* ⅓ of the time. The first time we used it we thought it was awesome because it automatically connected to the TV, without having to program. (Also made us question if someone could walk around the neighborhood with this remote, changing anyone's channels, if they have a compatible TV... something to think about.)BUT the buttons on the remote quickly started not working. We usually have to push any single button 2-5 x's to get an actual response from the TV. We don't even use the remote anymore, instead we downloaded the FIRE TV APP, giving us actual control over changing the channels, it works the first time you click it. ONLY PROBLEM IS, the app turns your phone into a remote, therefore making it difficult to use your phone in any way, unless you switch back and forth. AND when your phone times out, you have to do the whole security code thing, takes a bit of time to get back to the remote. Whatever.HERE'S THE PROBLEM, behind the problem. We bought this Amazon Fire TV and the remote that came with it broke within the first 9 months. So, go online, Amazon will sell you more remotes for about $20... but why am I paying Amazon MORE money, when I already just bought the original, that shouldn't have died so soon... see where I'm getting at? Consumerism at it's worst. So, I went with a different brand, to say "F U" to Amazon, for trying to get me to pay them more money... but this different brand doesn't work and is SO FRUSTRATING.Just don't do it.

Insignia fire tv remote replacement
Works great for my insignia tv. The old remote started going through batteries every other day so I bought this and saved that one for a spare and for setup on factory reset. This remote works awesome and there was no setup just put in batteries and go

Works great where as the BT remote that came with TV is flakey.
This remote just works great. It is a IR remote (no Mic) where as the remote that came with my 50" Insignia FIRE TV is a BT remote (has a Mic) and is unreliably hit and miss. I literally have to wait (like 5 seconds) for it to register a key press most of the time. At other times it would overshoot (register too many key presses) if you pressed a key for more than a fraction of a second. It would vary from nothing happening to too much making it very frustrating for an otherwise excellent TV. I believe they either placed the BT antenna in a very bad location or used a really crappy BT module so not only is my original remote flakey but a BT game controller only has a range of like 2 feet and is still hit and miss. I love the TV otherwise great features and picture, but man the BT sucks. The IR remote just works reliably and consistently. So if you are tired of a buggy unreliable BT remote get this IR one instead, it just works. I have a Echo in my Living room so I don't miss the voice remote feature on the original BT remote ( the IR remote does not have that). I was originally gonna buy a new BT remote but after verifying the problem is in the BT module of the TV got I this IR one instead. Great buy highly recommend.

Don't trust Amazon on this one!
During the first day of use the buttons began to work intermittently. It also has terrible range. I had it replaced just in case I happened to get the one bad one out of a million. The second remote also began having the same issues during the first day. This is not a quality product. I wish I had purchased the top seller and not the Amazon recommend product. Did the Mfg give Amazon the one remote that actually worked? Seriously disappointed with Amazon's decision.

Good Value
Very reasonably priced. Works as advertised. Remember that this is NOT a voice remote like the original, but it works in all other respects as well.

Works great and a decent price.
I like this remote. It's the only one I found that's a reasonable price. The buttons are more like a Roku remote so it's actually more comfortable for for me since that's what I'm used to. It doesn't have to voice feature, however I don't really use that when I'm at my desk so this works. I do use the voice feature when I'm in bed, but I still have the original remote all is not lost.I find that I lose the remote less often if I have one in each of the spots where I likely use them. That's what I liked so much about Roku. Remotes work with any Roku TV. However I have two TVs in the same room, one displays my security cameras. It was NOT handy to change the channel on my TV and have it screw up my cameras. The Fire TV fixes that and it's nice that I can buy extra remotes same as the Roku.
