Black Leather Hides - Genuine Leather Cow Skins, Cowhide Leather, 2 Square Foot (12 x 24'') (Black) for DIY Crafts/Tooling/Sewing

I don't know much about leather but this seems to be good. I have been teaching myself how to bind hardback journals and books. The first thing I tried was a leather repair patch, which while it started out good needed additional glue to stay put. Then I tried sheep skin leather hides, which is a very soft and wonderful feeling leather, but I'm not sure it is a great choice for book binding, but I will get more for future bags and clothing projects.Then I tried this and a couple of other leather offerings. This one is going to work great. It will take an impression for the front and the spine (using a 3d printed piece). I haven't actually put it to use yet, but I had an old cape that was very similar in look and feel to this and it worked great (if only my skill was as impressive.)If I don't update this within the next week, then the skin worked great and I am happy with the purchase. Most likely in that case I will order more. I still have one skin out for delivery, and that is a blue one that I am making a Tardis journal from. (This is the reason I have been teaching myself to do this, the others are not large enough, nor do they have lined pages.)

product is misrepresented as 12 x 24. it was 11 1/2 by 23.

Bought 3 different pieces from this company. The description says 12”x24”. Each piece measures 11.5”x23”. Quality is decent but being 1” short on every piece is unacceptable.
