I like this barrette very much. It is solid looking, attractive and strong. The only thing I would say about it is that although I have a reasonable amount of hair, I wouldn’t call it very thick, it holds my hair well, but if you did have very thick hair I think you would have problems. But there are other ways to style hair using this barrette, and I would recommend this one even if you can’t get all your hair in it!

Very pleased with the size and quality of these tortoise looking clips. Lovely colour and shape and very strong to hold back my medium thick hair in a ponytail. As described, functional, reasonably smart, especially for price. VERY Quickly supplied,unlike another supplier offering (about a month wait).Needed as hairdressers not yet re-opened, usual hair style does not need clips, so useful addition to accessories.

It looks good and is well made but I have thick hair and the bar at the back that holds it together doesn’t leave enough space for my hair. I’d hoped it would allow me to tie back more of my hair. It seems to be very difficult to find a barrette for thick hair - maybe I need to search for GIANT barrette next time. Or perhaps you could make one that can hold more hair? I’m sure there would be a demand for it.

The clip is a lovely design but very small, I wanted it to hold my hair up but it doesn't open wide enough because of its size. The barrette is nice and strong and pretty I just wish it had been a better set then it would have been worth the money.

Very pretty. I can only use it, however, to hold back a little bit of my hair. My hair is thick and even the big one isn’t strong enough to hold back very much, leaving the rest loose.

The barrette and clip set came in a little cardboard box to store it in. The barrette is beautiful, although much larger than expected, and the pretty clip is very useful for pinning wayward strands or holding a half pony tail at the back. A bit expensive but good quality.
