tldr: Problem saved by great customer service 5/5 would buy againLeaf blower works fine and does what a leaf blower ought to do. That's not the exciting part.The exciting part is that the B+D Model Number: BCBL700D1AEV sold in a generic factory-fresh box by "beyond by BLACK+DECKER"/"CPO Outlets" arrived in great condition but with a defective battery. All the packing was 100% intact and fine but the boxed-inside-the-shipping-box 20V battery had zero charge on it. When connected to the charger it showed only a red flashing light - meaning error. Since I had other B+D batteries and chargers I could verify that the blower and its charger both worked fine - it was the battery that was dead.Contacting the Amazon website handed me off to the seller, CPO Outlets, who wrote in eMail that they "might" get B+D to replace battery or refund blower. I feared I was in for a customer service battle. I opted for a replacement battery and CPO Outlets said I "might" get it in 12 to 14 business days (which would have spanned the Christmas holidays)Imagine my pleased surprise when I went outside this morning (a Sunday and less than 3 business days) and found a USPS box from B+D containing a replacement battery. After a few hours' charge, I tried that battery on the blower and it works great!So here's the tl:dr again: Leaf blower got sold to me for a great price and arrived in great condition but with a defective battery. Seller CPO Outlets and BLACK+DECKER replaced that battery quickly and without a hassle.Defective things happen every once in a while, but that would be a 1 star experience. Great service by Seller CPO Outlets and BLACK+DECKER made it back into a 5 star experience.Oh yeah, the leaf blower works good, too!

Amazon gave me wrong information & said I would be refunded & not to worry about returning. She said besides that it would cost me a lot to return a lithium battery. After watching for my refund, I see through my Amazon orders that the seller says I have to return the item. I already recycled the defective battery. So, now I'm stuck with a blower without a battery. Im extremely upset with Amazon for misleading me and creating a situation that I couldn't return the item as required to get a refund and the seller for sending a defective battery to start with!!

The B&D blower works well but the battery with it never worked. The vendor CPO Outlets has been good at following up to request a new battery from B&D.The blower works well, but as many have said on here, the battery does not last long, I have not been able to test that yet except that I put in a different type of Black & Decker battery to run the product and it did use it up rather quickly. This blower is good for small jobs like blowing out a garage or a deck, but would not recommend for yardwork, I have a backpack blower to get that done, so this is a good short term solution for small projects, just FYI.There seems to be a large problem with Black & Decker products, excellent products, but the batteries are very cheap, so buyer beware, however, this vendor has been excellent, I am waiting on getting a battery replacement and will update once I receive itUpdate: Received a new working battery!

We use this leaf blower to clean the front porch and our back deck, sidewalks, any area that needs cleaned off quickly. It is very lightweight for females/easy to use for me and my husband. Our dog sheds a lot and she sleeps in our garage at night, so it’s easy to clean out the hair in the garage very quickly as well. Great for pet hair clean up!!!

We received the leaf blower with a battery that was not any good. We contacted Black and Decker they told us just return it to Amazon. So we did and received a replacement. It too was received with a battery that was not any good. Finally after several e-mails and a phone call they said they would send us a new battery. It is going to take 4 weeks to get it. So I have know idea how the blower works yet !

Easy to use and lightweight! Only complaint is the battery doesn’t last long, & I rotate with a 2nd one from my weedeater.

Came with a defective battery - rapid red light flashing when attempting to charge upion arrival
