Twisted Games, Desires, And Tortures
As we start off we are first introduced to our eventual killers and antagonists as kids, kids that are abused, bullied, and made to feel worthless. We are introduced to their origins and a sympathy for their plight. That soon shall change as we later meet them as adults. Even knowing where they came from and what they dealt with though we're still very detached from them never learning anything beyond their sick games and desires, we never even learn their names. As we move into the main story we meet Ashley whom they've just kidnapped and are going to use for their fun, desires, and torture for her husband Matthew by sending him DVD's everyday of the actions and misdeeds they have acted out on Ashley with the warning that if he goes to the police or tells anyone else they will end her suffering now by killing her, if he does not and waits out their having fun with her they may let her live. Quite the quandary and dilemma Matt is in. It also makes you wonder just how would you handle things yourself were you put in this very situation. Something no one could truly answer unless God forbid they were in Matt's very place. We live out each harrowing day, deed, and emotion with Ashley and Matt. This is a story that you can't help but be pulled in emotionally completely and be angered and saddened by the things that are inflicted on out protagonists. As ever Matt Shaw does a superb job accompanied by Michael Bray in giving a great story that pulls you in and entertains to the end. Matt Shaw in my opinion is the very tops of extreme horror authors with his capturing the genuine.I very very highly recommend this book to fans of extreme horror and call it a can't miss. A very solid 5 stars.

Disturbingly wonderful as usual
4 stars is only because of the length. I thought it was way too short. The story was gruesome and graphic in his usual style. The story itself I would give 5 stars, just thought could have extended a little

The kidnappers are sending him daily videos of the HORRIBLE things they are doing to her
I finished this book in one sitting. Once I started this story there was no way I could stop until I finished every last page. The story is about a husband who's wife has been kidnapped and is being tortured. The kidnappers are sending him daily videos of the HORRIBLE things they are doing to her. They let him know they will kill her if he calls the police but there's a chance they will let her go if he keeps quiet. This is yet another amazing collaboration from these two authors. I loved it and highly recommend it.

Promising with a disappointing ending...
I wanted to like this book. I love Matt Shaw's writing. This had a lot of potential, it really did. Ultimately, the ending fell flat for me. Not what I expected or wanted.

Didn’t meet my expectations
Not scary great idea poor execution. It’s definitely not for most people but if your a serious fan of extreme horror and gore this book does not live up to expectations. The author is great though I read sick bastards and it made me uncomfortable and grossed out but everyone has a flop and his is definitely home video

Love love loved this one!
I love Matt Shaw books, he smacks you in the face with his descriptive detail of just how horrifying things can be. Home Video is one of them, from the opening page you know that guy is going to do some serious damage to somebody somewhere. When Matt gets together with Michael Bray, all bets are off. Another awesomely crazy book, and not for the squeamish, take that first page warning seriously, people!

A good read if you wanna go to the darkest of ...
Intense and beyond sick... but that's why we read Matt Shaw, right? This book was hard to put down but there were a few unrealistic elements that prevented it from being a 5/5. A good read if you wanna go to the darkest of dark places! The warning on this book is warranted.

A Good Idea But Needs A Good Proof Read......
I love Matt's books and I was really looking forward to this book coming out. I got the nasty collection volume 2 as it contained this book and a couple of others. I'm not sure if this kindle version is the same but in the nasty collection I found that as much as I wanted to enjoy this book with it's great characters and gripping plot and enough gore to keep me happy the story was spoilt by the constant typos and spelling mistakes. It detracted too much from the story as I was constantly trying to work out what the author meant and it really did spoil it for me. It needs a really good proof read and for this reason I deducted a star. I am a huge fan of Matt's but on this occasion I feel a bit cheated as I waited ages for this book and it just seemed hastily churned out and not properly edited. I could have done a better job at the editing.Usually when a book is this badly proof read I tend to delete and not finish it and the only reason I continued was because it was by one of my favourite authors.I liked the idea and certain parts made me flinch. The plot is simple. A man's wife is abducted. He receives a dvd in the post with her being tortured and a message from her captors. If he wants to end his wife's suffering he should call the police if not he should wait until her captors grow bored and release her. If he waits he will receive dvd's showing everything that is done to her.....I look forward to Matt's next book but I hope the next one is better proof read.

Sick depraved and unthinkable
Here is a horrific concept where one day you receive a DVD through the door and on it is ur partner tied to a chair being tormented humiliated and tortured. If you report it then she dies or u don't and you keep receiving DVDs until they get bored and release her or kill her anyway. You simply cannot put yourself in either persons position, both going through their own personal hell, one mental with the dilemma of report her disappearance and she dies,or don't but know by not reporting it you are basically giving them permission to keep putting her through agony. And two being the one tied to a chair awaiting ur next dose of pain and torment with a camera in ur face almost wishing they would just kill you. It is a gripping story with the added fear of no motive and no reason for the way they select their victims. Another shaw masterclass

dont shoot me! just not my thing
I really wanted to love this book ! Honestly ! ............Had all makings of great read by kidnapping a woman filming the torture then sending it to her partner.the partner then has choice of report it to the police or carrying watching the sent videos on hopes they will release her when they get bored. SUPER! While being well written and thought about I was clearly expecting high-jacked up gorey bits (the usual Matt Shaw extremism) but I found it was lacking and tame compared to his other books.perfect for the horror fans who scare easily but not so much for extreme Gore and blood fans out there. This explains the mixed review but hey you can't please everyone all the time!!! AND ON THAT PLEASE NOTE :the stars are marked down purely by personal preference and own enjoyment. these are my just my views and not aimed not aimed aimed quality.quality is guaranteed here obviously when it's collaborating two great authors

Brutal
This for me out of all the books I have read from Matt shaw has to of been the most brutal. A gripping read you didn't know what was coming next. So much blood and gore and sex in there it was over flowing I loved it. I've stated up all night as I couldn't put it Down. A storyline that fascinates you from the very start an just gets better and better. NOT for the light hearted! I'd recommend any true horror black cover fans to read. Brilliant. I never read a book twice but this I definitely will.

If this book is a taste of what Matt Shaw's writing style is like, i wont be buying any more
Having read the reviews i was expecting so much from this book, but sadly, for me, it didnt deliver.I found the story to be badly written. It lacked suspense, was unimaginative and way too matter of fact in its approach. If this book is a taste of what Matt Shaw's writing style is like, i wont be buying any more.
