Just what it promises: An affordable set of packing cubes
There are enough uncertainties in travel: Will my flight arrive on time? Will I get lost on the way to the hotel? How can I find a decent meal in a strange town? So many things are outside my control that I like to be organized whenever I can.And thus, years ago, I was turned to the Packing Cube side of the Force. It sounds like an affectation: Really, can't I just fold my clothes or roll them up? But the cubes accomplish a lot. First, it means that all your underwear is in one place so you don't need to search ("Didn't I have another pair of socks somewhere in this suitcase?"). And since the clean clothes are in the cubes, they don't sidle up to the dirty clothes collected during the earlier part of the trip.Somehow I've ended up with a collection of these, in part because my husband and I both go on long trips, sometimes concurrently. We color code them so we easily can recognize that my clothes are in the blue or green cubes, and his in black. More organization!Over the years I've bought cubes from eBags and Eagle Creek. These, from Florious, have the advantage of being made from recycled materials, and the price is competitive.Bottom line: The three cubes (small, medium, large) do their job well. With each of them filled (underwear, shirts, pants) my carry-on luggage has room to spare for a 4-day trip. There's not a lot to crow about -- it's a soft cube with a zipper -- but the construction is solid. I can't imagine a situation where I'd put a lot of stress on such an item, but it's nice to know I could. The fourth item in the set is a laundry bag, which to tell you the truth I don't particularly need, but I threw it in my luggage just-in-case. It's probably hard to bring along too many organizing-bags.

Durable product! Well made.
This packing cube set caught my attention because of the price, mostly. I got a set to check out. I have never used cubes: they seemed to be extra weight, way too expensive, and maybe too yuppie. My packing has been zip lock bags and vacuum closure bags. When my packing cubes came I tested them by yanking and pulling at the seams, fabric, handles, zippers. I tossed them in the wash and condensation dryer (supposed to be hand wash and line dry only). After drying I yanked and pulled again. Each cube stayed together with no evidence of damage. The seams are all covered and finished; there were and are no stray or dangling threads. The logo patch appears stitched on and embroidered, rather than glued--a good sign for quality. The cubes are also very light, lighter than the zip and vacuum packs-- Who'd have thought? I wish I had these on my last trip. I will be doing a test pack to see that these cubes do take at least what the zips do. I condense and squeeze air out by sitting on the zips before closing them; I'll do the same with the cubes. (compacting eliminates a lot of wrinkles). I did the pull test in the past on a much more expensive packing cube in a store: it did not pass. That turned me off about cubes up to now. --goes to show that good, well made, "green" products do not have to be ridiculously expensive. I'm looking for more cool stuff from this company.

The Florious packing cubes worked great for our 3-month trip in Norway this winter
The Florious packing cubes worked great for our 3-month trip in Norway this winter, and while we make the trip every year, it was our first time using packing cubes of any sort. I always roll-pack, so while compression or "fitting more" wasn't a concern for me, one of the things that helped speed up that process was that once I had puffy, hard-to-keep-rolled items rolled, I could stick them down in the cube where the roll would hold nicely whether or not I had other items ready to pack around it at the same time (I would keep the cube zippers halfway closed for loading our sweaters and ski pants but leave it flapped open when packing the cubes with stuff that stays rolled on its own). Something I didn't anticipate ahead of time but that turned into a great blessing during our trip was that we were also able to use the cubes on their own as weekend packs to visit family members who smoke, so not only did we avoid toting our large backpacks or suitcases around on short adventures, we were able to toss the Florious cubes into the wash with our clothes at the end of the weekend and clean the smoke smell away from everything at once (the cubes hang dry remarkably fast). I also used one of the small cubes as a delicates wash sack since I didn't bring one with me, and while I know that is not its intended use, it worked great for me. For our travels, I bought two sets for my husband and son's clothes (along with one set of Specter cubes for my backpack), and in addition to the roll-holding and washable benefits mentioned above, they made packing for and throughout our three-month journey much more organized. My only "complaint" would be that for our family's slightly condensed packing style (for our three-month winter trip I had a Load Hauler backpack, my son a 21in suitcase, and my husband a 24in suitcase), the large sized Florious cube was really too big, and we only ended up using one of that size in my husband's suitcase - the set would have fit our needs better with an extra of either the medium or small cubes. While my husband had been skeptical at first, by the end of the trip he was saying that he wouldn't mind one more Florious set to use for non-travel seasonal clothes storage, so I think we'll end up getting one more set and using the large size cubes for storage and the medium and small cubes for traveling. I hope this info is helpful to those considering their travel packing needs...

Eco conscious, good price, super useful for traveling/organising.
Made of recycled plastic? Ultra lightweight? Makes packing husband's travel things easier than ever? Yep, ticks all the boxes and more. I don't usually jump for gizmos just for the sake of it but 8 did ask myself how could I live without these clever little zippery things before? Organising made easy <3I'm going to order a few more for the family.

Amazing!!!
I was watching you tube one day and stumbled on packing cubes. I researched the Eagle Creek brand and was going to order those. Boy am I glad I didn't! I am so in love with these florious bags! Very easy to use, very sturdy zippers. Recycled material? It doesn't get any better than that! I was blown away by how much you could fit in the cubes. These cubes have met my expectations in every way! Florious, keep up the good work!
