I'd never repaired a hose before. This little heavy-duty kit made it easy. It's hard to see, but it includes a metal barbed hose mender/coupling (probably made of brass but I'm not certain), sandwiched on either side by heavy-duty metal clamps (probably made of zinc but I'm not certain).The coupling isn't much longer than the clamps, but that was a plus to me, because as you can see from the photos, I can still easily roll the mended hose onto a hose reel without creating new stress points on the hose.Time will tell whether it holds up, but it sure feels like a solid, heavy-duty, long-lasting repair, and the price was great. I purchased a second one to have available for the next time a leak appears.

The mowers came while our high-quality 50-ft hose was out across the lawn, creating two 25-ft hoses. This put it back together perfectly. It was easy to do and has held up great for weeks so far, and I expect it to last as long as the hose if not longer.

Excellent quality. Don't waste your time with plastic connectors, they don't last. These metal ones will do a permanent repair.

The hose mender arrived the next day from Rocky Mountain Goods. I followed directions and the hose did not leak at the connection!

All metal. Keep a few handy to save from replacing hoses that spring a leak.
