Good Introduction to Dividend Investing
Mr Morris gives you a good introduction to dividend investing. He covers dividend stocks, closed end funds, public and private REITs and MLPs. In this brief book he does not go into detail of analyzing and selecting individual dividend stocks or REITs. Instead he directs the reader to ETF's and CEF's. For MLPs he does list two good ones for his suggested portfolio. He adds bonds and gold to his recommended portfolio for diversification / hedging and I have no qualms with his choices as I use these instruments myself. It appears his portfolio back test was done on Portfolio Visualizer and it would have been helpful to the reader if he included a link to his model to allow the reader to easily test modifications of the portfolio. Overall, this is a good start for a dividend stock investor.

Another good quick read investing book by Tim Morris
There are a lot of investing books out there & many are thick & complicated & not easy reads for the average joe investor. Like Tim Morris' prior books, this book is not one of them. Its a quick, simple read that spells out the basics of dividend stocks, why to invest in them, & how to invest in them. Because you can read it in an hour or so rather than over days, I find I actually remember the information. An added bonus is he outlines a practical dividend stock portfolio that is easy to implement.

Not only just for beginners...
I bought this as newly released after having liked other titles by Tim. I was expecting a review of things already known and perhaps a refresh of things forgotten. So, I was pleasantly surprised to find the good information that I wasn't aware of.Note that I've been trading and investing via brokerage for more than 15 years and am always in seek of investments that can be held longer term. I especially recommend Tim's ideas pertaining to gold regardless of your opinion of a speedy economic recovery.

Tim has a particular skill in being able to extract the essential information needed and present it in a logical and clear way. Although this book only took an hour to read it contained all the key facts and information needed to take action and devise your own portfolio of dividend generating shares ( utilising exchange traded fund accounts) spread across different assets.
