Polypodium Leucotomos Extract Supplement, 240mg, for Healthy Skin Care - Gluten Free (200)

I decided to try this stuff for my trip to the Gulf of Mexico. I have very light pinkish skin. I blush easily and therefore burn easily. I'd heard about this supplement that helps prevent severe sunburns. I use sunscreen at the beach but normally return with a bright red burn regardless. I started taking this supplement two weeks prior, along with non-flushing niacin. I have no burn. My legs and back were a bit red at the end of my day at the beach but it quickly healed and is now a nice tan only two days later. I highly recommend this to my pale Scotts-Irish friends with tender pinkish skin like myself.

As the study results demonstrate (yes, there are research studies where researchers shone UV rays on people's bums over a period of two months) this should be paired with sunscreen and does not prevent burning completely, but rather, drastically reduces the number of times one gets sunburn as well as the severity of the sunburn. As for myself, I took this twice a day during the summer and only had one very mild burn at the beach in the height of August, whereas I usually suffer a couple of good Irish burns (I don't tan very easily). I coupled this with as SPF 50 as usual, and tried to stay out of the sun for the most part. But when I did lay out for that hour in August, I only got a mild reddening, where usually I get a full on burn. Take two weeks before exposure, twice a day thereupon.

I have spent my entire 50+ years enjoying outdoor living in the California sun. Being fair skinned but able to tan, my skin is showing signs of sun damage. While I can’t change that, I can prevent more damage and still enjoy our wonderful dry sunny weather. I recently spent a few hours in the pool with the grandkids and didn’t get burnt at all. This is my 3rd bottle and I will keep it in my supplement regimine, just wish I had known about it sooner. I’d recommend this for anyone (all ages) who spends time in the sun, great product!

It’s a good product for what it is. However if you don’t autoship it takes forever to arrive. Over 2 weeks is rediculous

It has been 1 week since I have started taking this supplement and I feel like the amount of sunburn I get has been reduced. It is very nice to get such a great effect just by only having to take this once a day. This type of product is exactly what I've been looking for! I highly recommend this product to everyone!!

The label on the product looks sketchy and I can tell it is covering up another lable. I have been taking it for 2 months and I get sunburn every time I get in the car. I have seen 0 benefits from this product. HELIOCARE is a trusted brand and I regret not buying their products instead.

The Polypodium Leucotomos Extra is such a great product to have during summer and bikini season.It stops sunrashes from forming and also helps reduce the amount of sunburn. It protects UVA&UVB though it may protect your skin from the sun.I'll recommend this product.

We use this product to help prevent sunburn. We also slather on the sunscreen, but I have been having way too much fun to bother with refreshing my lotion, and still did not burn.
