These may be the best magnetic letters out there
These may be the best magnetic letters out there. I love that I don't have to worry about magnets separating or even about wood getting wet and warping. They are durable, colorful, and safe. My toddler loves picking through the letters and identifying each one. I look forward to spelling out words with him when the time comes. My only complaint is that there is no differentiation between the the lowercase "L" and the capital "I." I realize the letters are cut in a san-serif font, but for teaching purposes, I do wish an exception had been made for the capital "I." Other than that, these letters are excellent!

Fun, attractive, but let them air out 24hrs.
Letters are brightly colored, soft to the touch, and easily adhere to our refrigerator and other metallic surfaces. My little one definitely enjoys playing with them and grabbing them out of the bucket to stick onto our fridge. Getting so many letters is also very useful for spelling lots of different words and overall this set is a great value.2 complaints:1) Upon opening the bucket, there was a strong chemical odor. I know that foam is a man-made product and the chemicals involved & the chemical smell probably won't really hurt you, but we did let the letters and bucket "air out" for at least 24 hours before letting our little one play with them. After a day of offgassing, the letters no longer have a strong chemical odor.2) I would have preferred the capital "i" be a standard times new roman "I" with a cap on top and bottom, just so its easier to identify. The capital "i" in the bin is just a straight line, so it doubles as a capital "i" and lowercase "L" - I know why they did it, but it would still be nice to be able to easily identify them.

They stick without sliding/falling...
Full disclosure: I bought this product - it was not provided at a discount or free in exchange for my review. After buying three other magnetic letter sets and returning them, I was happy to finally find a set of magnetic letters that stick to the magnet board! The letters are a nice size, the magnets work well and the storage jar is nice to have. The foam seems to be durable (so far).Extra letters are included for vowels and commonly used consonants which makes spelling more than a few words very handy!I would buy these again.

Otherwise we like the foam and magnet and they don't fall
We are missing AaEeIiLlmOoUuz, that's 14 letters missing!!! Otherwise we like the foam and magnet and they don't fall...but we can't even spell my daughters name and it's only 4 letters. Super disappointing.

Awesome letters!
These are exactly what we were looking for! In the first picture you will see Melissa & Doug letters on the left and Roscoe Ventures letters on the right (for size comparison). Both letter sets are bigger than the cheap ones you can buy with a single magnet in the back (choking hazard). You can also see that the letter "I" on Melissa & Doug has paint chipping from my two-year-old putting it in her mouth. The Roscoe letter "r" has bite marks from her, as well. For some reason, she only puts that ONE in her mouth (thankfully). They stick very well and the entire back is a magnet so no worrying about a loose magnet anywhere. I definitely recommend.*Just keep in mind that because these are foam, if you have a little one who will bite these, it will leave distinct marks.

Letters are fine, but the smell of chemicals is really really concerning
The letters are fine. But the smell of formaldehyde and other chemicals is much stronger than most foam toys. I've had them outside, off-gassing for a few days now, and the smell is still overwhelming. I usually don't buy foam stuff, if I can help it, to avoid problems of toxic chemicals, flame retardants, formaldehyde, etc, but I wanted foam letters because my little one is really struggling with learning letters and I thought the foam might make the experience more fun, vs wood or plastic. But I'm regretting my purchase. Probably all foam letters have this problems, but I'm really shocked by how awful the chemical smell is.

Excellent product
I ordered these letters for my therapy room. I chose them over the hard plastic letters after a fair amount of consideration for the following reasons 1) I thought children would like the soft feel of them 2) the colors are less harsh 3) I thought the full magnetic backs would be less likely to scratch the whiteboard over time. I have used them in two sessions so far and the children have enjoyed them. The selections of letters was well thought out by the company as the children were able to spell out a satisfying number of words without running out of the upper case or lower case letters they needed. What I also appreciate is the shaping of the letters--each is distinct so there is no confusing the small M and the small W or the small B and the small P. My only concern is that over time the letters will dent or irreversibly "squish" and will no longer be aesthetically pleasing. The price is so reasonable, though, that I would rather replace them than have the hard plastic "forever."

So accurate the blind can use it!
I'm a blind mom teaching the alphabet to my sighted child. I really needed a letter set that was clear and easy for her to see and use while being so accurate that I could tell the difference by feel (a much harder task than you may think). We were able to assemble the alphabet so quickly and easily onto my magnetic white board and had so many to spare that they are now covering the fridge. I can't wait to share the info about these with my fellow blind parent friends. Your accuracy and great quality means a lot to us. Thank you!
