The kids were fighting over this at camp. It really does not do much but rotate the hotdog and marshmallow but hey, they're kids for a reason, right? I guess they just like the cranking of the reel bit. I was thinking that somebody out there will manufacture one that has a push button that will just extend the pole automatically and 3 attachments will pop out (so that you can cook 3 items at one time).

We love this roaster stick! Here in Michigan we build outdoor fires about 3 seasons out of the year, so this roaster has been used quite a bit over the last two years. We have not always been faithful about bringing it indoors but it has not affected it's appearance or use. It extends well, rotates well with the reel, and having the rod detachable for cleaning is a real plus. Love the fact that it's not battery operated. We need to purchase a few more because all the kids want to use it!

This roaster is not just for kids! Make gourmet "inside-out" s'mores. Break a graham cracker in half and place 2 or 3 small rectangles of milk chocolate on each half. Slowly roast a Jumbo marshmallow over heat until it puffs up and is golden brown with a soft center. Now, slide the graham cracker and chocolate INSIDE the marshmallow as you push it off the roaster fork. Voila, the marshmallow encircles the chocolate and graham cracker! You can only do this with the Reel Roaster and Jumbo marshmallows! You may have to buy one for the kids and one for the gourmet cook in the house! Cleans up easily. Telescoping feature is nice. Easy to store.

Love the turning part. Does not work for hot dogs like said. Hot dogs seems to fall off.

These are cute, and they'll give you a use or two of fun for backyard barbecues, but any young boy would break this in less than a day. The fork is bendy and the overall extension setup is bendable and fraught with built-in product obsolescence. There is no way to pack these for camping which will insure that they do not end up bent or broken, which would not take much.

The toys arrived quickly, got them in no time flat! They're still in the closet yet, as they're going to be stocking stuffers for our grandkids. However, they DO look like it's something they'll have a blast with! They can play a little rough sometimes, so we're withholding judgement on the durability.

My 4 year old loves this. Someone gave my husband this as a gift before we had kid & I thought it was fun but the dumbest gift ever then our kiddo got old enough to use it & now my whole family fights over it so I bought everyone one. It really is the best.

Kids love them. Only downfall is the way it hooks into the handles isn’t as secure as I would like.
