Thomas Edison: American Inventor

An interesting look at the most famous inventor of modern America. I believe the book gives an unbiased view of the man Edison was. It is quite difficult to portray a person in history as anything but a hero or a villain when reality is often somewhere in the middle. Edison was a brilliant inventor matched only by his work ethic. He was also a poor business man who unfortunately held some racist beliefs. Whether a fan of the man or not this book offers an in depth look into the life and habits of the man who's inventions shaped the 21st century.

Very interesting and informative

I thought a little more research could have been done on Edison with regard to what he went through to obtain some of his inventions. If you visit his Ft. Myers museum, you get an entirely different view of his career. The book makes no mention of his winter home or his other friend Harvey Firestone.

I was impressed by the dedication Edison put into his work. He was focused in his work. What he did has made contemporary life more easy.

This was a very entertaining and easy to read book but it didn’t go into a very profound description of Edison’s life, great book for a basic understanding of his life.

I love it .

Learned much. Some that I liked and some that I didn't . but You can't help admiring the guy. Presents a very human look at the man.
