There is none of the unpleasant bitter or sour foreground flavour or aftertaste associated with tamarind. It is thick but can be poured, though I don't recommend it if the jar doesn't open cleanly because the bits of plastic sealant impede the flow and will make a mess. Its use would benefit from an applicator, though its design would be problematic. If you want to add a note of characteristic flavour to a soup or sauce, definitely try this.

The container is small, but a little goes a long way. So far I've only mixed a couple of teaspoons in a cup of honey yogurt and mixed with slivered almonds. To die!

Smooth texture with amazing taste. Have tried other brands. The citrus notes with the savory make your recipe stand out. Use for dressings, dips, rice seasoning, marinades. This brand is now a staple in my home.

I never bought tamarind paste but have a love for internationally flavored foods & needed this for some new recipes I came across. It's another of those "a little goes a long way" items you didn't know you couldn't live without. Buy it, you'll use it.

I use it for Indian Veggie dishes. The color of the product was black instead of brown. Dishes turned to be terrible color, trashed it.
