Working fine so far. Very impressive looking piece. On the hands free opening ,the sensor is not a motion sensor [this is stated on the sticker on bottom of top] you just have to hold your hand steady over it and it works every time.

Love the product, it's my second one, the first one lasted 4 years before the motor for the lid stopped working.. My only complaint about this one, is that the lid doesn't sit flush when closed.

This garbage can is able to hold more garbage than I anticipated. We use the Kirkland brand garbage bags and they work perfectly with this can. The motion detection can be a bit touchy and you have to make sure you don't overfill it as the lid will repeatedly try to close, but overall it is very good. If you have it close to a wall and the motion detector stops working, check the back switch as it turns off easy when bumped.

Sometimes, when you buy an off brand from a foreign country this is what you get. So the can works fine, is nice looking and all, but the damn battery doors do not stay on. I have had to dig through two bags of trash so far to fish out the battery door when it fell off. There is no screw or anything holding them on and they are exposed to the trash (facing down) where it is easy for them to be knocked off. Just be warned, you may have to fish through your dirty trash to find a battery door!!!Update: well, it happened, battery door fell off again, didn't notice it right away, and went digging through a bag of trash trying to find it. Found batteries, no door. So now I have tape holding the batteries in. I wouldn't buy this junk, not worth the frustration due to bad battery door placement.Update: Just went to Walmart and bought a $20 trash can to replace this hunk of junk. Batteries are in a bad location, gravity working against them staying in, doors get lost, tape doesn't hold. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!!

I absolutely love this trash barrel. It was a fair price and compliments all of my stainless steel kitchen appliances. I like that I can wave it open, especially if I’m throwing away something dirty and my hands are dirty. I also found with my old trash barrel the trash bag would hold too much air so we’d ultimately put a little hole in the top to vent out, no need with this one as it has a little piece that goes on top to hold the bag and the air deflates.

This was my first time buying a garbage can with the motion detection feature and it's actually pretty cool. First off, I was going from a tall cylindrical garbage can to this item which is shorter, wider, and rectangular which is definitely a plus as it's much easier to dump in garbage from smaller cans that I have in the bathroom and bedroom. The motion detection feature isn't as sensitive as I've seen from other reviewers who complained that the can opened every time they walked by it. I have a small kitchen and I'm literally in front of it when standing working on the counter and the can does not open. I actually have to wave my hand in close proximity to get it to open. Since this is not a step activated can, it doesn't have the hinge that my old can had and was scratching my refrigerator and the lid doesn't hit the wall or refrigerator like my old can did. My only complaint is that the lid will close shut rather quickly even if you are working in front of it dumping multiple garbage items at one time. It will close on me and them I have to re-wave my hand to get it to open again so that I can finish dumping the garbage. Otherwise, this is a much more useful garbage can than the one that I just replaced.

Neat product and I like the ring for bag insert over a canister insert. The sensor works great and not having to touch the lid at all is sweet

Really love this item. Works well and you never have to touch it. Opens as you get near it and closes once your done. I highly recommend it!

Works good. Buttons to open and clise Are easier than the motion detection. You have to wave your hands across more than 3 or 4 times for it to acrivate if using that

Great feature the hands off refuse disposal in the kitchen.

I got this a little over a month ago and the sensor just stopped working for no reason at all. I have switched out the batteries but it still doesn’t work.
