Very heavy duty stainless steel, will last years if you take care of it like anything you want to last. Comments about it getting "too hot" or removing the thick rubber insulating handle is pretty ignorant... consider the heat-source and individual behind the handle. This is NOT some cheap stainless, but very high quality and absolutely recommend. No, I'm not getting paid nor compensated, but wish to tell it like it is on this as I'm impressed!

Difficult to use the "cage" only works for a limited size of corn/veggieclasp opened twice dumping the corn onto the grill and into the flameskind of a fire hazard

I'd like to be able to remove the handle when I place the basket on my grill otherwise it does a fine job of keeping peppers above the grill so they don't burn too rapidly. Other veggies, too.
