SOLID hinges
The media could not be loaded. I bought (6) 10" hinges for my double-door gate. The gate is approximately 16 feet long (8 feet on each side). These hinges are very solid and don't seem to flex or bend AT ALL.I took the advice of another reviewer and used carriage bolts to attach the hinges to the pressure-treated 2x4's.I used a 3/8" boring drill bit to drop the holes for the hinge bolts, as well as for the holes for the lag screw that the hinge sits on. I also put some lubricating oil on the lag screws so they'd thread into the wood easier. The method I used to install them:First, I attached the hinge to the gate section. Then I measured on the fence post (I used 4"x 6" posts) where the corresponding lag screw should sit.Once the screen was installed, I hung the gate on it with the hinge that was attached to the gate section.Next, I marked where the second (middle) hinge needed to go, and drilled the holes to attach it. Once attached, (while the gate was hanging by only the top hinge), I marked the location of the corresponding lag screw.*Keep in mind that the bottom part of that lag screw that holds the hinge and keeps out from sliding down needs to be accounted for when attaching the hinge. The circular part of the hinge needed to sit about an 1/8" (maybe slightly less) from the edge of the gate, or else you won't be able to slide the gate hinge down-it'll be to close to the edge of the gate.(I'll try to add a picture)Once the top 2 hinges are installed, I did the same thing with the bottom hinge. The tricky part is getting all three of the hinge lined up with all three lag screws and setting the gate down on top of them.I managed to get both sides set by myself, but I'd recommend getting someone to help. The thing I really like about these hinges is that I can remove the gate doors. I'd say that they're 'easily' removed, but I didn't want anyone to think that you'd have to worry about someone coming and taking your door/gate off. It's not that easy....But, if I needed to remove the doors, I could. And because my gate is on the alley, and the doors swing out, it might be a feature I could use one day.Overall, I like these hinges. They're very solid. The way I installed them allows them to open about 135° out (45° past a 90° opening)I have a Ford Expedition and can pull out and back in from a pretty narrow alley. These hinges seem like they'll hold their strength for a long time, and using 3 of them on each side seems to evenly disperse the weight. They swing nicely, and don't sagI bought wheels so the gates could roll, but haven't installed them because the hinges seem to hold the gates just fine.

sturdy
We used these straps to attach to a metal gate we are putting on metal pipes. Our local store ran out of them, so ordered from Amazon. They came with 2 large screw-in J bolts for wood which we didn't need.

Heavy Duty and Everything You Need is Included
Installed in about 20 minutes and works great. My gate is heavy and these hold it well.

Will do the job.
These are well made and adequately strong. The metal looks and feels like long lasting and corrosion free like good stainless, but I didn't analyze the steel. I had a heck of a job finding the pins that would go with these straps. They would be suitable for most utility gates and barn doors. They are better than the pins I found. For some reason the DIY big box store and local hardware stores just don't carry the right "kits" with matching pins and straps.

This is a universal repair for any large gate.
The media could not be loaded. My poor old gate was destroyed by lack of maintenance. If I had just oiled it once a year, this would not have happened. The bottom hinge Froze and literally rolled the bracket right off the gate, ripping it out of the main horizontal member.I got these and was pleasantly surprised how easy it went on. I ran to the hardware for three bolts. (No fasteners come with these hinges).I jacked the gate up to where I wanted it and then about 2 inches more to account for sagging. Threaded the pivot in with a pipe wrench. Lined it up to the first hole which already existed. Drilled the other two and it was done.Very happy with these for repair, replacement hinges for a large heavy gates.Note: I did add a cable strap to the pivot post to keep support on it for the future.I hope you find this review helpful.

Great Heavy Duty Hinge!!
Made a massively long gate across my drive to keep my dog in the yard. Gate is basically a frame with wire mesh on it. But it’s like 14 feet wide. So I needed a heavy duty hinge. These are working perfectly so far! Outstanding!! Dropped them in a 6x6 post and it’s doing an amazing job! No play. Just works like a charm! Was a slight bear to install at the end. But made it work. 3/8” carriage bolts put it all together on the fence. Also LOVE that it comes with the screws for the post.

These include the hook/pin screws
These are a lot beefier than I needed, but the design worked perfectly for my particular need. I was confused by the descriptions. In one photo the screw pins were shown, but they were absent from all the other images. The description was explicit, "mounting bolts not included." Never having worked with these before, I went ahead and order a redundant set of hinge pin screws that I'll need to return (if they ever arrive). There is no need for that. The carriage bolts must be acquired separately, but the hinge set is complete.

Nice neod. magnets, accurate description
Description of product is "on the money," shipping was fast and packaging good. Price is reasonable too! A+Handy for shop jigs and fixtures. I would not recommend these around young children, or the fridge, due to their size. For professional use, they are awesome.Glue them in well with some strong epoxy! I used two together facing in opposite polarity to attract to each other, rather than placing a metal strike plate. This made for a smaller "keeper" footprint.I like the fact that Amazon is carrying these types of items. Makers need somewhere to buy their components.Feel like putting on my cheap sunglasses, a Hal, Hal, Hal, Hal, mercy.

Great
Very excellent product! I read a lot of reviews before purchasing, the question was asked several times, how many in a package. In one package I received a set to do one gate. I ordered 2 packages because I have 2 opening gates. Package contains 2 straps and 2 hinge pins.
