Q: Can you raise the entire bed frame with a patient lying on her?

Yes. The bed I bought had to be cranked to raise and lowers.

Q: Does this come with the mattress?

No, the mattress is sold separately.

Q: does this model come w/ half side rails?

This does not include rails, it is only the bed frame. The half rails that will have to be ordered as a separate item are 6630DS.

Q: What tools do i need to put bed together? thankyou

Its been about 5 years but I am going to say none. but maybe a screwdriver and wrench but I don't think anything
