I have bought this Blu-ray version because the image quality is far better than my DVD copy. I would recommend watching this film and in Blu-ray quality.

Good 4K transfer and sound. Gary Oldman is awesome in this but Chris Tucker’s character Ruby Rhod is terrible with the most annoying voice ever.. I felt I wanted to switch off when their character was on screen. Good plot otherwise and storyline with some nice action thrown in for good measure. Costume design by Jean Paul Gaultier and directed by Luc Besson.

Great 90's sci-fi

A classic 90s sci fi film, full of imagination and action and great performances from Willis, Oldman, Jovovich, tucker et al. Great to own on Blu-ray and very cheap too

I was watching on-line videos about 4K movies and came across a video by TheOriginalFuzz, and he reference the Studio Canal release of The Fifth Element in 4K, saying he like this version more than the Sony Presentation of the movie.Being a big fan of The Fifth Element, the plot, and audio/video I was intrigued to see if the Studio Canal version would be better as TheOriginalFuzz was saying.Studio Canal is base in Europe, I believe the UK, and releases many Hollywood movies, I guess to European audiences for Hollywood. I found various versions of The Fifth Element, and I'm reviewing the Studio Canal 4K with the artwork cover with the black bordered top.The Studio Canal version's actual 4K disc is all region, and can be played on all updated 4K players, but the Blu-ray disc with all the special features on it is Region B, which is only for the European market. So if you are a big fan of The Fifth Element and like in an area where your 4K player won't play Region B disc, only want the best 4K version, and don't care about the the special features, or already have the Sony version with the special features then you might want to get this version of the movie.The Studio Canal version sells for about $20.00 USD more than the USA version by Sony when it's on sale. Does this warrant the higher price to see The Fifth Element where only the Video appears better and you might not be able to see the special features on the Region B Blu-ray disc?Regarding the difference between the video quality of the Sony versus the Studio Canal version, I would say the Studio Canal version is slightly better... The colors aren't as bright in the Studio Canal version, and the Sony version seems to be a bit darker with slightly less detail. Perhaps the colors and flesh tones of the Studio Canal version are more natural is the best way to describe it.The different video quality is often times very subtle, but at other times it's noticeably different. It depends mainly on which scenes are on at the time.I guess what's going to be important to the non-region B buyer is if they love The Fifth Element that much to want to buy another disc that's going to run about $20.00 more just to get the Studio Canal version with the better video in 4K than the Sony version they currently have?I did and since I have about six copies of The Fifth Element from DVD, Superbit DVD through 4K, I was willing to spring for the extra $40.00 USD for yet another version, which I will be pairing with my Fifth Element Steelbook 4K for the special features on that Blu-ray disc...PS. If you see different border tops on the Studio Canal 4K of The Fifth Element, it appears to because the slip case if you get it has the silver border (first photo) while the actual artwork on the case has the black border (second photo). Both are the same version with the 4K in all region and the Blu-ray in Region B only...

I was told this is THE 4k transfer one should get out of the two available. It looks amazing on OLED.

The movie itself is iconic ... this version 4K is a real masterpiece if you can afford to watch it in the right way ... I mean on a last gen tv 4K empowered with a full surround system the fifth element become brieftaking

C'est une édition la plus minable de tous les temps, d'habitude un 4k a toujours 3 ou 4 langues minimum chez les Wagner peut aller jusqu'à 7 langues audio, mais ici juste anglais et rien d'autrs malgré le film d'origine française ya même pas le français c'est Une honte, maison de disques de radins au bord de la faillite. 0/20

La portada es la misma de 4k de studiocanal pero sin sobrecubierta.El disco se parece a una edición USA de hace 4 o 5 años con caratula estandar una caja rara y disco zona A.Sólo Dolby Atmos y VOS en inglés, un tanto artesanal y muy cara.
