Threaded stakes with tool to put them in the ground make this a winner.
Love how easy this is for one person to put up! Poles are very sturdy for being above ground. Although the stakes are plastic, they are durable so far. They screw into the ground and you get a nice tool to help you which is a life saver!

Great sun shade for van even in high winds
Bought this to use on my van. I attached it using an upright that holds my solar panel on one corner, and ran the other end over the roof and bungeed to my side mirror, and used stakes on the other side. I was at a van life festival and got lots of compliments on it. Some people there had special van awnings (3x expensive) that gave them problems when the wind kicked up. But I didn't have any issues, I was really pleased. This won't work for rain, and I'm knocking one star off because after leaving it up for three days it has small stretch marks in the spot where the poles were, so I'm not sure how long this will hold up. But for the price, compact packed up size, ease of setting up and effectiveness I'm very happy. Great work Nesco.

Good tents for sports
It takes up some space but provides great shade

A disappointing purchase
I had high hopes of of this product. I was persuaded by the sport images and in need of light weight, easy to travel shade for baseball tournaments.For the first time used it was me and three dads trying to figure out the best way to put this up. The dimensions of the fabric make it really difficult to get any real shade. It’s incredibly narrow so the sun really needs to be at your back for this to work. Second, it doesn’t get that high off the ground. With little shade, now you have to deal with the fabric on your head if your sitting in a chair.In giving this a second chance, I took it to the beach. Some of the same issues remained. When up, the patch of shade was maybe 10 foot by 2.5 foot. It didn’t matter because the wind blew the poles over or pulled the anchors out of the sand. I dug deep and tried again. This lasted only 2 minutes with some normal beach wind.I do love the intent of this product and may get some use as like a shade tarp if there is something sturdy to attach to. I’m sure it works well for others, but not for my needs.

Too Narrow for real shade, get the square shape instead of rectangular!
Love the idea, but this narrow rectangle shape does not work no matter how you situate the ‘x’ or the poles. Wish I would have known this before purchasing, definitely would have went with one of their square designs. We were never able to get more than 2-3 ft of shade on the sides. So when sitting under it your feet are in the sun. And when stretched the fabric starts to concave on the long sides and so you only have one foot of shade in the middle. This ginger wishes she could exchange because it’s really great quality!

Great for small area
Needed a small shady area in the yard for a baby that was visiting. Worked great.
