The info say to order X large and that was a mistake. The leather is beautiful and very soft. I returned mine. The snaps doesn’t work well for my pocket watches. For me button hole works better.

XL with this vest means waist area is VERY XL. My waist is 34-36 and extra large was for more a 46+ waist, otherwise, it fit me fine. So I next ordered the Large and it was fine in the waist, BUT too short. I am 6' 1" and the XL was too short for me. So I now ordered the XL LONG. I am thinking that is going to be perfect for me. It takes longer than most Amazon items to get to me, for whatever reason(s). I think it is going to be worth the wait though. The vests I sent back looked very good except for the fits. However, I think I got it right this time though. I am 6' 1" and 192 lbs. A Large-Long is going to be perfect, I expect. So I will be happy.

I’m a tall (6’-2”) fit and slender man. My chest is a 40 and I ordered the 38, and am happy with the chest fit. My waist however is a 29, possibly unheard of for my heigh, and this vest will definitely need alteration to fit as expected.All that being said, the fit is better than most, and the feel is excellent. The color is a bit more monotone than the stock images, but I can fix that with some colored leather polish.

I would have given 5 stars as its an excellent quality leather vest as are all of Scully leather products. However I ordered large and I was sent x largeProduct quality is excellent just wrong size. The overall fit is just a bit loose in the chest. Not sure if I want to go thru the hassle of returning the item. It would have been nice if someone paid attention and actually sent me the size I ordered. Please advise as to what you can do for me

This is an impressive vest. It blends nicely with my lambskin leather blazer. The leather is soft and smooth. However, if you’re one of those that are very hard on clothing, then this garment is not for you as the soft & fine leather would be easy to scratch. In other words, you wouldn’t wear this leather vest to go and play soccer. I’m 5’11 weighing in at 185lbs and an extra large does me justice with a little bit of room to wear over a thick sweatshirt or even a hoodie. Much kudos to the seller, many thanks!!!

For a few years, I have been wearing a similar suede vest -- that one had a poly back panel, with suede just on the front half.The problem I encountered with that vest, as another reviewer here has mentioned, is the buttons kept falling off. Jeez, I might be a few pounds overweight, but I don't have this button problem with my knit sweaters!So when I saw this very reasonably priced all-suede vest with SNAP BUTTONS, I figured the latter should solve my button problem once and for all.The large-size vest fits me perfectly (I'm a 42 short), and it looks great. There are two outside front pockets and one inside pocket on the left side as you're wearing it.The leather is a little lighter in weight than my previous vest, but that's okay -- it's supple and brings some warmth without bulk.I have deducted one star, however, for the intense leather smell. I've been wearing the vest for several weeks now, and the pungent odor persists. A friend of mine even commented on it -- "What's that smell?"Currently, I am hoping another customer can give me some advice on how to mitigate the odor. If I find the answer, I will add it to my review...

great vest in general, 5 star. compared to other vests, this brand runs a bit small so I am going to have to order the next size up, -2 star. the vest points at the bottom are slightly mismatched, meaning 1 point is slightly lower than other, -1 star. 5 - 1 - 1 = 3 star.If you order one, you probably need to order a size bigger than usual.update 2021May21: received next size up, still a little tighter than other vests I have gotten, but can probably make it work. I wear a 2x equivalent in dress shirts, and 3x in polo casual or other brands of vests. 3x in this brand was just too small and no mention anywhere that the brand runs small so returned it and got 4x. the 4x is still slightly tighter than other brands have for a 3x, so I would recommend getting 2 sizes up maybe. I have not yet decided if it is worth waiting around for another vest to arrive.other than the extremely incorrect sizing, the vest is 5 star. so if you get 2 sizes up bigger than you think you should get, then you will probably end up with a 5 star vest for your needs.

I bought this for my husband. He had ordered a vest with buttons which he could not button because of his arthritic hands. They were to stiff and the fabric was stiff too. This vest has snaps and is easy to close. The fabric is lined, and the leather is soft. He really likes it.

My second Scully vest … the leather is beautiful … the fit is exactly what I was hoping for. Couldn’t be more satisfied.

The qualty is excellent but the vest was sent in the wrong size and the delivery took way to long.
