I replaced a former knife I had had for around 20 years after the handle developed a crack in the handle. I had never had the original knife sharpened because I hadn't realized a serrated knife could be sharpened. Anyway, it was my favorite knife and since I had a gift card to use toward this knife, I ordered this one. Very happy with the replacement because it's so comfortable to use and is very sharp.

We have a greenhouse and huge tomato garden, and my wife grows about 10 different varieties that we eat all summer and then she spends days canning in the fall for pasta sauce, salsa, spicy stewed versions, you name it. Anyone who cuts a tomato more than just once a week for a sandwich knows how irritating, sloppy, imperfect it can be even with a sharp blade. With this, it's a clean and accurate breeze. A professional tool to do the job right, even at high volumes!

I have the same knife set and wanted to get an extra sharp knife for steak and all and this is better than the one I already have. The handle is slightly different but much heavier and of better quality.

My cooking knives collection has been extremely expensive to put together… but now it is complete!!! I started with Wusthof Classic Ikonand have four different types of those and I was quite a snob about ONLY buying that brand. There was NO WAY ON EARTH I’d buy any Henkel brand knives….but then I stumbled across the Henkel Pro S series and I AM IN LOVE!!!! I can almost hear the church bells ringing! 🤣🤣 Now my Wusthofs are getting extremely jealous that there’s a new kid on the “block”! 😆 hahaha! Anyways the pro s line is wonderful! Extremely sharp…great balance…feels great in the hand! Not literally… that would hurt! Anyways…you won’t be sorry! I’m not even a chef or a cook…I decided at age sixty to learn to cook and it’s challenging but fun. Always remember…you are only as good as your tools!

Love this knife. Great quality (which is why it seems overpriced). I've learned that sometimes you get what you pay for. Certainly true here. Great addition to my kitchen and perfect for the need I had.

I bought this knife 6 years ago at Macys. Used it multiple times everyday. Still sharp. Then, oh, great sadness. It was nowhere to be found. I feared that it had gone out with the trash, and after 36 hours without, I ordered a replacement, kicking in the extra for one-item next day prime delivery. Remarkably, the new knife worked just like the one that was 6 years old. Or rather, the 6 year old knife had been as good as new. Then, joy of joys! My husband found the old knife tucked in a random drawer. This is the best knife, for anything with a thin skin like a tomato or bell pepper. Also great for starting things like onions, when the fancy chef's knife or santoku needs sharpening - WHICH THIS NEVER DOES!. Great for slicing crusty bread, although it is a little short for a lot of loaves. Also makes the best steak knife, cuts really nicely across the grain, without shredding like a lot of serrated knives do. When I travel and stay in a "furnished" apartment, I always bring this knife, a little cutting board, and my all-clad 10 inch frying pan. I have a lot of very nice and expensive knives, but this is always what I reach for first.

Just the right size and useful for just about anything . . .tomatoes, onions, bagels & buns, cheeses, meats. Plus the sharp point is useful for jabbing and picking up. Most useful knife I own. Serrated knives are supposed to stay sharp longer, and I seriously hope I don't wear this one out.

Perfect replacement for this knife that was lost from the full set - exact same quality, feel, and sharpness as the original. Made in Germany and reasonably priced.
