Wonderful book
Wonderful book for kids. My 5 year old used it for practicing reading. It’s one of her favorites and now one of the many books we gift to friends

An engaging younger-picture-book-reader experience
or various personal reasons 😂, I think an awful lot about how hard it is to make a simple picture book--that is, one that reads effortlessly while still engaging its understandably finicky readers. One recent read that does a fabulous job of creating an engaging younger-picture-book-reader experience is Karl Newson and Kate Hindley's "The Same But Different Too."Written in a fluid rhyme that incorporates lots of gentle humor with delightful illustration work, the result is an endearing and well-paced showcase of how interesting and exciting differences--and similarities!--can be. It's compare and contrast within a "we're all in this together, tribe" mindset, and I am here for it! Older kids and adults, too, will be charmed by the character cast and funny little details that are re-readings award, such as a book titled "Bedtime Snories," a rainy "Bleak St." bus stop, and a "gruff" character being cast as a billy goat. With the energy and humor of the P. D. Eastman classic, "Big Dog, Little Dog," and charming characters of all sorts in a "what might happen if kindhearted humans lived in a Richard-Scarry-esque world" (I mean, isn't that the dream?)--I can imagine the vast majority of kid readers having one word as a response to this sweet (but not saccharine) jaunt--"AGAIN!"

Opposites!
This is a rhyming book about how we are alike and how we are different. It's also perfect for reinforcing a lesson opposites! This book will find a happy home on a librarian's shelf with these lines: "I am listening. You are too. I love stories. So do you!" And the illustrations are gorgeous! Highly appealing to kids and adults. Lots of wide eyed animals and kids (with diversity represented) fill each page. The font size is nice and large for young readers too!

Such a lovely bedtime story
I love the simplicity of the story’s message about how everyone is different and that is alright. I love the adorable illustrations, and the pacing of the words. Unexpected bonus for me was that it’s a bedtime story! The ends off in goodnight. Adorable!
