Giraffe Tools Garden Leader Hose 5/8 inch x 2.5ft, Short Water Hose Heavy Duty, Flexible, Lightweight Hybrid Hose with Bend Protection, Male to Female Fittings

This hose is absolutely great but very heavy. Itis performing very well in my central FL summer environment (which kills hoses for sport). They say kink free but I doubt any hose is truly kink free - though this one seems to come the closest.What is not highlighted is the fittings, which are very solid. I stepped on them by mistake and NO Damage at all.

I bought this 3 ft hose to attach to my low mounted faucet so I would not have to bend over so far to connect and disconnect my garden hose. First time I turned water on with spray nozzle in closed position a marble sized bubble popped up in new hose about 6 inches from the male threaded end. It hasn't burst yet but I'm sure it's just a matter of time. Other than that... the way the hose screws onto faucet is great and doesn't leak at all..UPDATE: 3rd time I used hose it started leaking from Blister area I described in my original Review..2nd UPDATE: Grace from Giraffe Customer Service Contacted me, after reading my review, and immediately sent me a replacement which is hooked up and working flawlessly. So, my 2 star rating is now a 5 star for this well-made product and for the seller's superb customer service..

I wouldn’t hesitate to buy this hose in any length. My initial impressions on color, durability, connectivity , flow, weight and size are all positive. All hoses kink, it just a matter of degree. Still this hose seems to kink less than others I have tried. Plus due to hose end configuration, attaching an extension hose is very simple.

Time will tell whether it lasts. The lead-in hose that came with the hose reel cart failed after less than a year, but that was a very flimsy hose.One bit of advice: if your original lead-in hose that you’re replacing was 3 ft, order another 3 ft one. I got a 5 foot one thinking it wouldn’t pull on the faucet as much having more slack. Now, however, the hose kinks a lot unless I pull it taut, which means that the cart sticks out too much from the house.

This hose is nice and sturdy. It gets the job done well. I’m satisfied with my purchase.

This garden hose is advertised as heavy duty, flexible and lightweight. It is all of these things and more. We've found it to be resistant to kinking and the attachments are secure and leakproof. We've been so impressed with this hose, we are now considering other Giraffe brand tools. Highly recommended!

This is my fourth hose from giraffe tools. I've been replacing my old hoses as they wear out or become so hard as to be unusable. These have been great hoses. They stay flexible and coil up nicely.Do they kink? Yes, under the right circumstances they will...BUT unlike other hoses, once the kink is straightened out, it doesn't kink again. The older style hoses were kinked forever once it occurred.They really provide a great value, and are light-years ahead of the hoses from the big box stores.

THE BAD: The "anti-kink" (orange) handle at each end is not attached to the hose end so it slides away from ends when you're not actively holding it in place. The connection of hose to metal fitting also looks very flimsy and "homemade" and not the typical machined/welded type you would typically find on a manufactured garden hose. The hose body is also very light weight and flexible enough to lend it's self to EASILY kinking if not stationary and always monitored. I would worry that it will split or burst in normal to heavier pressure systems.THE GOOD: Hose is very lightweight and flexible making it easy to roll up in a tight coil for storage. VERY few options for premade 2 female threaded ended hoses of this length (15 feet) available.SUMMARY: We chose this hose because it was advertised as one of the heavier made options and paid a higher price because of it. I also didn't want the junky look and potential for leaks vs simply cutting off the male end of any regular hose you might find in the box stores and DIYing the additional female end. Based on the quality of this hose connection and the very light weight of the hose its self I'm not sure I couldn't do a better job with the DIY option. I would NOT recommend this hose for a higher pressure application or trust it for inside use (washing machine, etc.). Our application is as an outside feed line to a outdoor shower so it is not high pressure and is stationary and will receive very low use (once a week maybe) While it is functioning properly out of the box I'm disappointed in the quality for the price and defiantly and inaccurate item description to say heavy duty. Nothing about this hose is heavy duty or seems particularly durable. I wouldn't even say it's regular duty. I haven't yet decided if I should return it and just DIY it. I know I can find heavier duty hoses and can make at least the same quality connections by adding my own ends. They say you get what you pay for so I thought I'd spend a little more and getting a better quality, not true with this hose. It may work for your application but buyer beware the description is not accurate, this is a very light duty hose and low quality construction for the price.

Fittings and hose quality good.First thing I had to do is glue the fitting sleeves into place. For that price I would not buy again.Customer service is the best I experienced.They offered to replace. I had already fixed the problem and kept the hose.
