I am a new Resmed 11 CPAP user and having severe dry mouth and throat issues during the night. I am about 3 months in using it. I have maximized the heated hose setting but if I went any further than #5 on the humidifier I would be awakened by gurgling of condensation from rain out. My instincts lead me to believe if I used a hose cover, this would insulate enough to be able to increase the humidity. My first cover did absolutely nothing because it was just soft fabric with a zipper. So I searched for one that was lined and found this product. The lining is like a satin but at least it had a lining. This has worked extremely well. I’m not at the max humidity level but there has been no rainout at level 7. Tonight I will go to #8 on the humidity and test that. I’m still having dry mouth but not as bad. Incidentally, I am using a spray of olive oil in my mouth (it’s not gross) and Lubricity dry mouth oral spray in combination. That has helped as well. But my main mission was to find an insulated hose cover and I will give this one the Golden Buzzer! Oh, it fits rather nicely maybe an inch or two longer would be good but am only saying this because that seems to be a common theme in people’s description and reviews. The length is really just fine. The zipper is pretty neat too!

If you use a CPAP, buy this - especially if you live in a cold climate or keep your bedroom cool.1. The fleece keeps condensation from forming inside if you use normal humidification in a cool room, or high humidification in any room. I had this problem previously, but no more!2. Makes the hose more comfortable against your skin. Sometimes I end up with my hose under my cheek or against my face, but I never know because this cover is comfortable.3. Keeps the hose quiet. I run my hose up behind and over the top of my headboard, to better route it to my face no matter my position. The hose used to rub noisily on the wood headboard, but now it's silent.4. It protects the hose from some damage.5. It packs easily for travel because I don't even have to remove it from the hose - which still fits in the case just fine.6. It looks better, in my humble opinion, than the very medical look of the uncovered hose. But that's just me.7. It is very easy to hand wash, and dries just as quickly as my other equipment when I clean them together. I clean my hose cover about every 4-5 weeks (where I clean my hose, mask carrier, and tank every weekend).*This is NOT a paid endorsement. I'm just a huge fan of this cover and recommend it to everyone I know when they get prescribed a CPAP.

Update August 2024: Since my original review, I washed this tube cover again, squeezed out the excess water, and while it was still wet, I slightly tugged it several times, moving down the length of the cover, stretching it out. I then hung it up to air dry. It is now back to its original length! So... it's only fair I upgrade the overall rating to 5-stars because it really is a very nice tube cover. And you can wash it. I have a dozen times now.Original review: I have been using this CPAP tube cover for several months now and am pleased with it overall. I like the bright blue color (cheerful!).However, after washing it a couple of times, I noticed it shrunk in length -- slightly. Not a lot, not too bad, maybe a quarter to a half an inch. It still fits my Resmed ClimateLineAir 11 Heated tubing which is, I believe 6'2" long. But it has slightly shrunk.The other day when I pulled it off the tube and went to wash it again, I noticed that the tag on the inside of the cover states to "spot clean only." I'd never previously noticed that small tag inside.What the heck? Are they kidding? No CPAP user wants to ONLY spot clean anything that they come in contact with on a daily / nightly basis. Thoroughly cleaning your supplies -- all of your supplies -- is absolutely mandatory for health reasons. An exterior cover such as this comes in direct contact with your face and possibly other parts of your body during use. It will eventually collect dust and dirt on it, especially if you have a pet sleeping in your bed. You want to clean it thoroughly -- not just 'spots' here in there as if it was a bib of some sort.I've have washed it once every week or so and have noticed no degradation of the material from hand washing using mild soap and moderately warm water, and hanging to dry. Yes... it seems to have lost a bit of its length but that might even be remedied with ironing (which, actually, I wouldn't advise doing).There is another brand I use which recommends handwashing as needed. It appears to be exactly the same material, too, with a satin interior. I think that one could go in the washing machine in a mesh bag on 'gentle' with other items and be fine as well. This one could as well, I believe.Convenience is important for CPAP users, and cleanliness is extremely important. The manufacturer of this tube cover needs to reconsider its cleaning recommendations. It's made in China. They won't read this.I do recommend this cover but advise you ignore the cleaning instructions.

I adjusted the setting on my cpac to auto problem went away without its use. Bulky when used.

I have a LUNA 3g cpap machine. I received the machine on july 23rd. and the first two nights i struggled with the machine gurgling and rainout in the mask. I remember reading about these tube covers a while back. so i ordered one. since i got this, NO MORE gurgling or rainout (mositure) in the mask. i sleep through the night now with ease. also worth noting, if your getting moisture in your mask, you may have to dial the humdity setting back. mine was on 2, and i switched to 1. that in combination with this hose cover has worked for me. stays securely on the hose. great product!

Purchased this cover for my heated tube for the sole reason of lessening the noise as it pulls through the hook I attached to my bed head, which keeps it up out of the way when sleeping. This cover is nice and thick and well made. Fits the ResMed climate control tube great. It certainly does the job. No more clunking noises now when I move in bed. I did turn it inside out after the first night as the fleece fabric was not moving over my pillow case. With the silky inside it now moves nicely. Highly recommend.
