It is very thin. My two tortoises have never torn it and you do have to use a good pair of scissors to cut it. I recommend this product highly. It's very good.

35.25x17.25 to perfectly fit in any terrarium with a 36x18 bottom (40 gallon breeder, 30 gallon breeder, 50 gallon, and 65 gallon. It will NOT fit a 40 gallon long, or any other 48"+ tank). Look up "aquarium sizes" for dimensions.

The size I bought fit a normal size 20 gallon tank. If you have a different size, you can always buy bigger and cut it to fit.
