The May Bird Trilogy (Boxed Set): The Ever After; Among the Stars; Warrior Princess

I purchased this trilogy for my 8 yr old daughter. She is an advanced reader, looking for a challange. I decided to read them first to make sure they weren't too dark or scary (she loves fairies, mermaids & super heros). I was surprised by how much I actually love this story, for myself! I am very excited for her to read them, but decided she should probably wait a year or two, due to the "darkness" of a few chapters. Their is a character John the Jibber that is a little bit twisted and I'm not ready for my daughter to read yet. The lessons/morals in this story are great. The main character is an awkward girl that is timid and doesn't fit in at school, she is overcoming her fears and shyness in the Ever After. I love it. The adventures are great. This is a very original, one of a kind story. I will be following this author to be sure to look into more books by her in the future. Her writing style is smooth & easy to read.

Favorite books since i was young.If u have a gothic 6th grader i would buy this for them.There is adventure and ghosts and goblins, and magic. Best book ever in my eyes.

Beautiful Bookset. Great gift and wonderful story for the unique child in your life who is tired of authors writing "down" to them. A bit dark for some parents as it deals with death and the spirit world and the boogie monster... but we loved it... my daughter originally read this with me when she was 8... at 15.. it is still her favorite series

It took me a little bit to get into these stories but once I read them I had grown to love these stories, they are a little dark...to me... the only thing I didn't like about these books was the they did not have the map the the hard back books that I read at my library did..

My daughter loved this series, it is very entertaining and she couldn't stop reading it.

My 10 year old granddaughter enjoyed reading these books very much! They are full of wonderfully detailed fantasy that any older boy or girl will enjoy.
