Lovely story
An old favourite, can't go wrong with a Shirley Hughes book.

My 2 year old Molly loves this book!
I bought this book for two reasons: we're moving and our daughter's called Molly! She's 2.5 and is interested and aware of what's going on with the move, but I wanted to get her a book so we could read about moving house as well. She likes the pictures in the book and often points out things that aren't mentioned in the story but that interest her.

1st day at school book
Lovely story but a little old fashioned. Nice story but would of liked a more upto date book about school. My daughter could of related more to it perhaps if it was updated. Such as the children don't wear uniform in this book.

Moving House
This beautifully written and illustrated book provided just the reassurance and interest needed when my 4 year old grandaughter was moving house. She readily identified with Molly and began to understand the whole process of packing up ,filling the van, unloading, unpacking and exploring her new surroundings. Her only disappointment is that there are no cats in the neighbouring garden and it is not a wilderness but a manicured plot.

Lovely story
I had this book when I was little and so when we decided to move house I couldn't resist tracking it down and buying for my little girl. Like with most of my beloved Shirley Hughes books I had as a child, the story is perhaps a tad old fashioned now, but still just as charming, about a family moving house and all the new things there are for Molly to explore in her new surroundings. A firm favorite at bedtime :-)

Really disappointed with this
Really disappointed with this. Story very long and slow going and not at all what I was looking for. I was rather bored by it and my son not interested. The Usborne book about moving is much better suited for us.

Good for any Alfie fans.
Another Shirley Hughes classic, I bought this because my daughters name is Molly and she loves the Alfie books. It was a no brainer really and we werent disappointed. Lovely book.

Great story for all kids on the move
It's is another Shirley Hughes classic and a great story to reassure small people when they move house. Seem things are good about moving some not, with her typical honest approach everything works out fine in the end. Would recommend all her books. Beautiful illustrations as ever

We Love Shirley Hughes!
We love Shirley Hughes and this is another great storybook of hers, which we have added to our storybook collection! They just don't publish books like this anymore, with her beautiful illustrations and simple but beautiful and relate-able stories. Every parent should read these books to her children.

I love all of Hughes stories with their wonderful illustrations
Remembered this book from my childhood, and I was excited to share it with my children. I love all of Hughes stories with their wonderful illustrations, but this one is probably my favorite!
