- This cross is from one of the shops at the Holy Trinity -St Sergus monastery at Sergei Posad Russia. It is a copy of an Old Believer's Cross - they made their icons and Crosses in metal - brass so they would be easy to carry when they were persecuted and had to flee.
- It has a three barred "Orthodox" style as you noted - because of the feet side by side. The three barred cross actually is Byzantine in origin and adopted it as a sign of Russian nationalism when they were looking to break away from Constantinople. IC XC the greek letters for Jesus Christ. The bottom letters Nika - Jesus conquers. At the bottom is a skull in the grave representing each of us. That is St. Peter on the verso as identified in Slavonic.
