Incredibly strong but loud!
I’ve purchased several used Living Air purifiers over the years. This time I wanted something new but didn’t want to pay the higher price for the Living Air. This is a very nice Chinese built unit, but you can definitely tell the quality is not the same. The ozone is extremely strong, on it’s lowest setting, it covers my 1900 square foot house (pointed at return air vent in the ceiling). Works like a charm and I have no complaints about it’s ability to produce O3.... BUT.... it’s really loud. This is where you can see the quality difference between this unit and the much more expensive units. It’s not just the fan noise but also the ozone production noise is double or triple the noise produced from the more expensive units. That’s my reason for the two star reduction, otherwise this unit is great, especially for noisy or unoccupied spaces.update: You can run this with a single plate and it runs quieter, although still noisy. With a single plate and the fan set low, it's still louder than my old Living Air unit at full speed, but oh well you get what you pay for. It does get the job done, even with a single plate, I still have to set the O3 control down to almost zero and the whole house smells fresh.

Smoke them if you got em.
I've had this unit running 24/7 since 12-13-16 in my home. My spouse and I both smoke plus there are Dogs in the house.I turn on the O3 control when we leave for work on its "lowest" setting and it works for all 2500 square feet of our home.

I'm not sure why some people complain about the smell - that is what Ionized air smells like, and it goes away soon after you turn off the ionizer. I had issues with the first one I purchased, but we had no issues with returning and having another one shipped out. This thing literally sucks any odor out of the air and I have tested it with smoke, food, and other odors. I run it every day almost all day now for about 8 months and have had no problems.This particular model is the only one I could find that had the particle rating as small as it does, it really does work for cigarette or other smokes. Would definitely purchase another If I had the need for it.

I really don't like that smell
I have it running all the time. It is a bit loud, especially at night. It seems to be keeping the smoke down in the house. I don't use the ionizer that much, I usually keep it on low if I do. I really don't like that smell. But I know it will clean out the house so I turn it on.No problems with it, Ive had it running for a week straight.

Don't waste your money and time!
The product itself works well - WHEN it works! I had it for several months when the ozone function stopped working. I contacted the company and rather than replacing the product which was still under warranty, they insisted I ship it to Canada for repairs. The price to ship it to and from Canada was almost as much as the product. They were able to give me what they called a shipping "discount," but it was still a ridiculous amount of money to spend on a new product that broke down through no fault of my own. It was eventually returned to me after several weeks and it worked again - but only for another few months when the fan decided to stop working. Too bad they can't get it together with this thing. Total waste of my money and time. I'm just sick over it...

CIGAR SMOKE DESTROYER!
Totally kills all remnants of cigar smoke. Wife said the garage smelled bad because of all of my cigar smoke. Used this and smoke smell was gone completely. Happy wife means Football watching in the garage can continue!

DOES HELP ELIMINATE SMOKE ODORS
I purchased this strictly for cig smoke, unfortunately these days it seems everyone is smoking and I just purchased a town house and of course the neighbors sit home and smoke all day. I bought 2 of them and was going to return one even though they cover 3000 sq ft, but I decided to keep both and am very glad I did. I have one in my bedroom which is upstairs and the other in my living/dining room which are downstairs and so far it is the only one I can see that helps with the stench second hand smoke gives off. The ozone is quite strong at first but seems to dissipate after awhile, but I like it because it's like breathing fresh air and even without using the ozone the ion smells fresh. So far I am pleased and hope it will continue to do the job it is intended to. If not they will both be going back just like the 2 Honeywells I had purchased which did nothing at all so don't waste your money on them!

great for my pipe tobacco
I bought this because I like to smoke my pipe in the house. This removes the smell pretty well. I do not like the Ozone function. I don't see the point of it and the smell makes me sick, but other than that, this is a great air purifier.

Best buy of the year.
Best buy this year.This unit is worth the money, works better than advertised. If you have a smoker in the family or circle of friends this is the one you want.Takes the smell out if the air, furniture etc...We only have a 1200 ft house and this unit will clean air in whole house in about 1 hour.It really takes odours out of fabric. Put it in car of chain smoker smell gone. Cannot say how long that would take as I left it on overnight. But it works. Very pleased.
