I work from home so good lighting for me is a must and sometimes I don't want the big light on in my work area. It radiates a lot of heat and makes it uncomfortable in my working space. I had another lamp on my desk but it was not giving me enough light. So when I received this one, I was crossing my fingers that it was going to be the one. After using it for several days, I can tell you that I am quite content with this LED desk lamp. When I received it, it was in three separate pieces, however it took less than a minute to assemble. You had to make sure the silver connectors were being slipped into the right position which helps the connection of the lamp overall. The lamp is an 8W LED, black metal lamp and it has zero adjustability. That almost makes you not want the lamp because you like for a desk lamp to move any way that you want it too. But that is the only con to this lamp and the pros definitely outweigh the con for me in this situation. I love the decorative color and I love the light that illuminates from it. It lights up my area well without all of that heat from it. The base of the lamp is a little heavy but that is to be expected to keep it grounded as the top of the lamp could make it tip over otherwise. The base of the lamp is also where you can touch the four setting functions. The bottom is on/off and you can slide your finger up or down to choose other bright or dim settings. If you don't want to slide your finger, just simply tap to your preferred setting. I have had to charge it a couple of times already due to me using it all of the time! It is a great lamp and looks even cooler on my desk!I did receive this item for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. It is relatively easy to assemble the three parts that come packaged, once you figure out what part goes where. Took a little trial and error.The charger and cord that comes with this black lamp is white, so that doesn't look good to me.Has multiple brightness settings in the sample that I received for review.
